Longmont Times-Call : Renfroe battling other candidates, GOP flaws in race for Congress - Longmont Times-Call

I see two more points in Mr. Renfroe's "Working in favor" TC tag: honesty in that he means what he says and does what he says. Second, he is a leader who leads self-confidently from sound internal personal principles that define his character in sharp contrast with the other wanna be's to represent the District. We have witnessed the harm that comes from non-leader/dictator enablers and supporters in our liberal districts and both Colorado Senate seats.

Longmont Times-Call : U.S. role in Afghanistan must end - Longmont Times-Call

Wow, you are delusional.to believe America is now safe from terrorist attack from Taliban controlled Afghanistan. Obama's surrendering to the enemy five Taliban brain trust leaders puts the old ring leaders back in power to repeat history on an even grander scale than 9/11.. The mistake he has made would be equal domestically as to pardoning and releasing Charles Manson unconditionally to roam at large in Death Valley, while at the same time binding up law enforcement's hands behind their back to do nothing until the murders start again.Only the danger the Taliban 5 brain trust leaders represents to the safety of all of us is in the USA is at least 10,000 times greater and these enemies are seasoned leaders talented to recruit soldiers who will die for sake of terrorism. There are leaders and their are empty suits who delude themselves and their followers into thinking leading from behind is leading, which it is not, but what the USA is stuck with for the moment.. Even if Jimmy Carter was incompetent He still was a leader and he lead for the right cause for America.

And the war is not over just because King Barry says it is.Obama's citing Washington, Lincoln and .is demonstrable how unqualified he is to occupy the office of President. The Revolutionary War, American Civil War and WWII were three concluded with the unconditional surrender of 'the USA"s enemies. Obama does not have diddle squat from America's declared enemy Al Quaida..Ignorance of the enemy by liberals and their WH clone is not an option for national security.

Wiseacre, you & TC need to gather the true facts. Until then your comment has no validity unless your King Barry I intends to surrender to the Taliban. Evidence: The president’s authority to hold Taliban detainees indefinitely is not extinguished when U.S. forces withdraw. The only thing that would require the United States to hand over Taliban prisoners would be if Obama plays King Barry I and issues a declaration that we have no further conflict with the Taliban. That would end his authority under the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) to continue holding Taliban prisoners. The president’s authority to hold Taliban detainees indefinitely is not extinguished when U.S. forces withdraw.
Here is what history will have to say about this, wiseacre: As a consequence Barry has set free 5 Ben Laden disciples – sworn enemies who support the declared war against the USA who are hell bend on destroying the United States and killing as many Americans as possible in the process. Barry has violated the most fundamental rules of power politics to put this nation in more danger than it has faced in history from a single stupid mistake from a domestic power hungry President. Rule one of natural law of survival and war He violated: (About captives) – “Upon this, one has to remark that men ought either to be well treated or crushed, because they can avenge themselves of lighter injuries, of more serious ones they cannot; therefore the injury that is to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge.” The Prince 1513 Rule two of natural law of survival to avoid war: “If he yields it from fear, it is for the purpose of avoiding war, (Obama cannot walk away by himself from the war Al Qaida declared in 1993 and killed over 3000 Americans to date) and he will rarely escape from that; for he to whom he has from cowardice conceded the one thing (release of the Al Quaida ‘Dream Team’ because Barry thinks their release will stop the war he fears) will not be satisfied, but will want to take other things from him, and his arrogance will increase as his esteem for the prince is lessened. - Niccoló Machiavelli, The Discourses. 1517. World War II is a direct consequence of the liberals "Peace at any price" attitude against Adolph Hitler and his Allie Tojo. The Chief Negotiator at the time caved into Hitler in 1938 Poland was invaded by Germany as a consequence with the surprise attack against the United States at Pearl Harbor in 1941 as soon as the Japanese consolidated their resources and forces. The same is in store for Barry's failed policy of capitulation.

Very astute; but don't let the White House echo chamber in Times Call miss lead you away from the greater issue herein than Bergdahl - who has become a red herring to cover up - the greater issues: 1) collaboration with; and, 2) aiding and abetting the enemy. The promise given to support the law was a necessity of the past: to occupy the Office. At present it is necessity, says the White House, to break the law in order to mate the law with changes in the White House cover story as it is melting down from the heat and light of the truth. I think Biden can't put daylight between himself and The Man fast enough than on this one.

Despite individuals in both parties harshly criticizing President Barack Obama’s handling of the trade of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban militants, Obama promised “absolutely no apologies” for the exchange In his news conference yesterday in Brussels, Belgium, held with British Prime Minister David Cameron. His narcissistic action and words define the intelligence mode operating the White House these days that will be as fateful and have future consequences as harmful as Neville Chamberlin’s appeasement to totalitarianism he soft peddled in the 1938 news conference as “There will be Peace in our Times”. Obama's standing on his own asks the question, what level of intelligence is driving White House Policy these days? According to Count Niccolo Machiavelli "There are three kinds of intelligence: one kind understands things for itself, the other appreciates what others can understand, the third understands neither for itself nor through others. This first kind is excellent, the second good, and the third kind useless." He also noted in “The Prince” that the Romans had maintained peace over some 500 years by applying a governing principle that is as true today as it was 2000 years ago. However. modern leaders, including Obama. who fail to respect history's lessons doom their people to repeat historic disasters. To wit: The Romans never allowed a trouble spot to remain simply to avoid going to war over it, because they knew that wars don't just go away, they are only postponed to someone else's advantage. Therefore, they made war with Philip and Antiochus in Greece, in order not to have to fight them in Italy... They never went by that saying which you constantly hear from the wiseacres of our day, that time heals all things. They trusted rather their own character and prudence— knowing perfectly well that time contains the seeds of all things, good as well as bad. (quoted from “The Prince”). Compare today's release of 5 war organizers and avengers to the lessons of history and you get the point why reasonable people are harshly critical of this historic defiance of the Constitution's duty and mandate for the President to protect, not endanger the People's security.

Longmont Times-Call : 7 dead in drive-by shooting near UC Santa Barbara - Longmont Times-Call

With the melt down of liberal “leadership”, using the term loosely, our political class may rediscover that leading the nation by grace instead of regulations is a thousand times more effective by holding persons accountable for their own responsibilities. Even the nut cases get it, the liberals in their power collection craze don’t and good people die. Why do you think the streets are full of homeless mental cases? It is because liberals appointed judges that do what the liberals want instead of following the Constitutional moral code and protecting the public by committing mental cases into institutions where they can either get help or at least be incarcerated where they can’t harm themselves and others. Case in point close to home is the Cinemark movie theater that was the only one with a sign posted at the theater’s entrance. Advertising “no guns”. Out of all seven movie theaters within 20 minutes of killer Holmes’ apartment showing the new Batman movie that night, it was the only one where guns were banned. In Colorado, individuals with permits can carry concealed handgun in most malls, stores, movie theaters, and restaurants. But private businesses can determine whether permit holders can carry guns on their private property. The nut cases are crazy as foxes, they don’t want to get shot themselves in most cases or they want to kill as many as possible before being stopped. Their planning time and again; case after case proves killer “nuts” fear the unknown, i.e. the armed citizen who isn’t going to sit there and play victim by taking responsibility for their own safety as well as those around him/her. Liberal politicians are responsible in every case where they have traded votes for human lives as the direct consequence in the Cinemark theater sadly proves.

Longmont Times-Call : Longmont flood bond voting begins; $20M would speed bridge, river work - Longmont Times-Call

Every bridge between Main Street and Hover includes the Sunset St Bridge. This bond makes sense ONLY if the City is smart enough to annex the Sunset Street Bridge into the City where it belongs and should have been annexed 30 years ago. BoCo priorities by factual experience including their failure to see and react to Longmont's present need to have this bridge in operation is proof positive this bond issue is not wise so long as this key structure and its repair has anything to do with BoCo Commissioner politics. Staff should immediately tend to this oversight, put annexation in processes so that the Ordinance has time for public hearing, first and second readings to get the job done before fall election. Let's focus on getting the job done on a long overdue necessary public works with the City in control of its citizen's destiny independent of Boulder politics.

The Truth: Jesus Christ died to save your Soul;(Tony Blair) the American GI serves and dies to save you Freedom. The American Bureaucrat does not give a dam about you or your life; collectively they serve themselves and their government Union. On or off active duty, Lt. Colonel Champion epitomizes the Service before Self Spirit of the American GI. Will your government representatives and the professor acting out leadership from behind theory while occupying the Commander-in-Chief’s desk listen to brilliant men and women like the Colonel here offering real practical solutions? Well don’t hold your breath waiting for an answer because it won’t matter who represents you or occupies the Administration when the nation collapses like the Soviet Union did. from bureaucratic constipation. The bipartisan Republican House of representatives funded a total of $489 million for the VA to upgrade conference rooms, buy draperies, and purchase new office furniture since 2010. The President, who ran for office originally to solve the systemic deficiencies denying veterans timely health; that are killing them today because he is disengaged and like Sgt Schultz "I know nothing" when asked is doing nothing, so we can expect nothing from a government that cares nothing for its people. The Attitude spreads to the Boulder County Commissioners who are about to enact laws placing Nature above their responsibilities for the People of BoCo. The people exist to serve government attitude is implicit in their failure to repair the two flood damaged bridges inside Longmont owned by the County.

Longmont Times-Call : Kevin Sampson: RTD should rethink rail service - Longmont Times-Call

Why choose the grow government route; instead of an actual solution that benefits commuters as well as taxpayers, instead of 30 more years of welfare for bureaucrats negotiating right a way from railroads? The sky transportation monorail is not only the congestion solution, it would cost commuters less than driving Hwy 119, I-25 to and from Ft Collins and Denver in their own cars. But, what the heck if RTD were to solve the traffic congestion problem for Longmont in two years or less it would be real hard to justify 30 more years of taxes. Apparently is far more important to bureaucrats than actually solving transportation problems for real people otherwise they'd solve the problem wouldn't they? Instead talking and investigating and coming up with taking existing traffic lanes out of service for most commuters obfuscates the issue more real to bureaucrats: how do we keep up the temporary RTD tax another 30 years on Longmont? Answer negotiate RR right a way.

You just think Boulder County has a homeless problem now; wait until these anti-fellow human-being types have changed your form of local governing putting their ilk in charges of your property which means absolute control of your quality of life. You can't seriously think their grabbing control will end with fracking once they have implemented tyranny sugar coated as Home Rule.

What a flock of hypocrites! The city and county adopted UN Agenda 21 years ago so now housing in BoCo is not even keeping pace with the birth rate. Longmont City Council has never repudiated Karen Benker's policy first introduced in her appointment interview for an open council seat and strongly ratified by the uber liberal council around 2006 or 2007 which was to use City regulations to limit housing so as to make the market prices reach "parity with Boulder or higher". The unsuspecting public has been reaping the obvious outcomes of more homeless every year since. Want to change outcomes, they change the causes starting with denunciation of Agenda 21, anti-human being Politicians, useful tools and fellow travelers, starting with restoration of equal opportunity for all citizens to own, to improve and to accumulate property in Boulder County, the cities therein and towns. Otherwise you will keep getting more of the same original unanticipated homeless outcomes, not less.

Ladyracer19 is spot on about fact ID's are necessary and that Mr. Litwin's excuses for the majority party are "...just a bunch of road apples. You can google why the commission refused to certify the Clerks' so called certification of the integrity of the 2012 vote and the findings show BoCo's voting process is rotten to the core. What is there to trust about the majority party’s absolute control over the voting process and system in Boulder County, especially when it does everything in its power to avoid accountability? Item: The Clerks 2012 official abstract included the total of all registered voters, including active and inactive voters. Rule 418.3 (b) requires her calculations be based on just ”active” voters! Item: precincts 647, 905, 832, 865, 603 and 915 all reported 101%. My vote for Commissioner this fall will be a write-in for Ladyrdacer19 and integrity and honesty in BoCo elections and that includes all candidates who stand up for the integrity of a photo ID system in Colorado!!!

From the reported record and letters to the editor from families of the departed, Hall is in the wrong job. From her reported interviews she has a TV-Show CSI personality, not that of a County Coroner and the voters should help her find the right employment by electing a more mature and experienced person such as her challenger Dempsey. She should file a job application with the police or sheriff for a real CSI job instead of inventing one for herself and wrongfully impacting citizens by her ad hoc interpretation of the BoCo Coroner's Office, which has brought on calls for compulsory public scrutiny to find out what has gone terribly wrong in that public office.

The way the mentally ill are treated in the USA the past 30 years is barbaric after cowardly politicians ducked creating a legal procedure that protects mentally ill from harming themselves and others with involuntary hospitalization. Following the tragic attack in Florida by a son against his legislative father, perhaps there is room for reform instead of compelling parents to cope alone with the consequences of no policy; and no help with mentally ill offspring. As in this case there is a slowly developing trend toward criminalization of compulsory hospitalization, that is in the form of court-ordered admissions and fewer hospitalizations for medical reasons. This out of balance situation is apparently the outcome of over cautiousness in the civilian process of involuntary commitment in response to political pressure for patients’ rights trumping public safety, including the safety of the immediate family members by out of control adult children forced to live at home because their condition makes them unemployable which was the case in the Sandy Hook massacre a year ago last December. The lack of interest in the government to actually deal with the real problems of mental health is in stark contrast to the contrived nonsense and waste of public time and resources the government spends in dealing with the bogus anti-fracking political movement who is yet to produce evidence of a single casualty The politicians are more concerned for anti-fracking votes than they are in dealing with the hard problems of the nation's mentally ill who don't have lobbyists to shower politicians with money for their votes so every year the mental health treatment of mentally ill grows more barbaric.
