Yes, something's wrong but I'd say its MF, not the link.

Doro ist out, indeed. New Golgo13, too (Offtopia). We should give them a seperate post, shouldn't we?
New steel Ball Run is out too, yay!

Its a nice start for the post so far :) But I can't help a thing this week, too much to do :/

Thanks for the comments folks, nice to hear you like the series we post!

@Chevalier&FP: ah ok, well then so it be ;) I'll have to watch a few episodes, now that I'm curious.

@Shamo: Yes, totally second monos opinion.
If we some day get the fourth and last volume of Glaucos, I can compare better but I'd say I like Glaucos more. Its the same feast of the human body, the play of muscles, strengh and willpower, but in a shorter story, simply.

@The last time we posted Garouden, it was a, to that day unseen turmoil (slightly exaggerated), this time, its pretty quiet ;)

Wooow, nice job guys, really!

@Mono, Krummbart: Thanks for your opinion about Jormungant. Yes, I think I'll try a volume and see ;)
Cestus: Mmh! looks promising, Colosseum, yeah.

@Shamo: Tanakas seems to work on another piece already, Kubukumono: <a href="http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=16852" target="_blank">http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=16852
So this big match could very well be the showdown to the series!...

@Chevalier X Furious Puppet: No offense, but couldn't they take the word "scangroup" a bit less literally? ...I mean they could at least auto-correct the tone, this is a work of minutes, even with with freeware programs. Ah well, its not that a live depends on that on the other hand...

Hm, thats a point, if its not available...
In general, I'd say I like the copyright system of printed media. But on the other hand, if someone really likes a manga posted here, maybe ge goes and buys it, a thing he wouldnT have done withoutt reading a scanlation first. At least I try to own my most precious series on paper.

To drop a manga if he is licensed is truly old school. Maybe they where right. It's hard to judge objectively if you HAVE all the free manga around you. Don't know if it would be better if manga would only spread through borrowd bokks and stuff. maybe people would appreciate the work of the author more. But the internet is here, so meh, pointless thought. Internet has changed a lot...

@scangroup goes legit: I think thats very difficult. First, the money would only fit for one person, not for a group, I suppose. So you have to speak japanese, to scout new manga. Then, a high demand of a scanlation isn't proof for a financial success, if printed. See how many people read Naruto and Bleach and 100 other shonen. But they would never buy it.
I think at least 40% of the reading list of everyone is just something you started long ago and now you're forced to drag it along 'cause you want to know the end. Like Gantz, lol

Err well, long comment. Into an old post ;)

@WFP: Same here. I kind of understand, that they want to earn money but: 1. other translators, editors and so on do it for free, too (except the costs for a server, that is another thing) and

2. its not that this makes it more legal. We all "steal" the hard work of the mangaka in a way. We buy some series, what we like most and what's available in your country, but all the rest... stolen. Charging money for that, no. imho of course.
WFP does a great work, nevertheless!

I'm on the torrent but have yet ages to go, seems you guys where faster than me^^ nice work!

Any thoughts about Jormungand? Is it good? Realistic fights and so on?- or more the usual manga-ish overdone battle scenes... :-/

14 years ago @ Manga Underground v3.1 - i dont like mondays · 0 replies · +3 points

Yes, that sure is an amazing release! xD

@WFP-DL: They talk about membership and sponsoring, though. Don't know 1. if anyone is a member and 2. if we can simply post their releases here for free..?
They also mentioned Damons (<a href="http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=6783)" target="_blank">http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=6783) and that it was widely ignored; maybe I'll check that out. Its by Osamu Tezuka, the man!

edit: wow, I didn't realize, Shamo 25 and beginning of 26 was already out. I though we had reached the point of the realization-stop already!

2nd edit: now WHAT?? On MU, Shamo is labelled as "ongoing" again. Glaocos on the other hand is "complete" with 4 volumes. That's goood news!! Glaucos being a tight, short, to-the-point manga and not endless like Shamo, on the other hand, we finally get to know the end of Shamo ;)

Added a little bit. The thread is yet again nearly full^^

I more and more like Oyaji!

And I started Cyborg Grandpa-G, the first one by Obata (who drew later Death Note). Don't know, kind of funny, kind of stupid.. I don't think I'll add it here ;)

[for some reason, this did't show up here): From wilsonwilson on i dont like mondays:
"The Links on [Furious Puppet]’s site only stay up for 24 hours then he removes them"

Thanks for the info wilsonwilson! Still, what use is it, to scanlate something and then hide it? Or do they have irc-download?

And thanks for all the comments :D Its nice to see some new and some known people again
