I got my Light Hope today. In the words of the Macho Man, oh yeah!

I already speculated this on the He-man.org forum. I know 2015 is a done deal. However, I think it would be neat to have one thing. Light Hope is representative of the Crystal Castle. Castle Grayskull-man is representative of Castle Grayskull. I think it would be neat to have a figure representative of Snake Mountain. What would the name of such a figure be? Is it not obvious? SERPOS! Oh, to dream.

I liked hearing what you guys said about Saturday morning cartoon stuff. the experiences of my youth will not be available to my kids, but they will have experiences of their own, just like my experience being different from my parents. There was bad, like being flooded with toy and cereal commercials throughout the morning. But there was good. I was a 70s/80s kid. I got to experience a lot of entertainment that was not just half hour toy commercials. They were imaginative stories of comedy, drama and adventure that were, I dare say, on par with adult fare if only just a little more simplistic.

The only thing that breaks my heart is that my kids will not get to experience the kitschy stuff like School House Rock, Time for Timer, CBS in the News etc. These little snippets were informative and educational without being preachy, and we did not notice. They were not sickly sweet morality plays. I say that acknowledging that Fat Albert and the likes were around. I do not know of anyone doing similar projects, and if I want my kids to experience such things I will have to seek them out for them. I would much prefer them to find them on their own, because I do not want it to feel like it is just dad trying to force his childhood onto his kids, or, as they get older, dad artificing their behaviors, even if those behaviors are good for them.

Stepping down off the soapbox, great show guys. I like that you guys do not just render opinions. You give things to reflect on. I look forward to your next podcast. In closing, exercise your choppers and don't be a yuck mouth.

We got 2015! Yay! I cannot wait to see what they offer for a mini-sub.

By the way, I did go see the Turtles Movie. I was not going to until the podcast. I was just going to wait for home release. I was pleased and did not feel like I wasted my money. I will admit that I did not guffaw at the funny parts (except at the end of Ralph's speech when they were falling at the climax), but they were amusing. I may get crucified for saying so, but I did not feel that Megan Fox's performance was half bad and they did give her part some meat. She was not just a straight man for jokes, and she was not merely a femme that constantly needed saving. All in all, a good movie. Thanks for the review, guys.

PS I apologize for the excessive postings. I'll leave it for a while now.

My only question would be this. If they keep the universes separate now and decide to combine them later, will they create a televisual "crisis" story arc? Things that make you go, "Hmmm." :)

I just wanted to make a small point. I do agree that the price is steep for this figure, especially as limited as the figure is. However in fairness to Mattel, the BAF piece is by far the largest of this mini-line. That may be why they priced it equal to the rest.

For the sake of full disclosure I am a MOTUC guy (sub up for 2015!) not a DCUC guy, so I am not buying these any way. I am just expressing an observation.

With all due courtesy, I do not 100% agree with the mistake sentiment. As this podcast has stated, DC has been trailing behind Marvel in the movie department. The exception being that DC has been putting out superior animated feature products. This puts DC in a precarious position.

Marvel has already benchmarked the idea of having a TV show that ties in with their movie universe. So what is DC to do? Do they tie in and run the risk of being viewed as copy cats? Or do they do they carry on with keeping separate TV and movie universes, and either and both stand or fall on their own? To paraphrase Kevin Smith from "To Fat for 40!", do you go where the puck is or where it is going to be?

Granted, DC is missing an opportunity. They do have plans for having a Justice League movie in the future. They could take advantage of the TV medium and flesh out individual stories in an episodic fashion, so they do not take up precious time or get cut short for plot expediency on the big screen. Also they have already invested in the TV shows, so it would also be a money saver. Not to mention they will also have one of their stock characters already available in the form of the Flash.

I could write pages, going back and forth about this, but suffice it to say. I think it would have been cool to tie in the movies to their TV series, but I do not have an issue with DC not doing movie connections.

You maven have said something about this, but I would have missed it if you did. Do you think the Batman/Superman movie will tie in to the TV shows (Arrow/Flash)? Not directly tie in; mind you. Are they supposed to be in the same universe?

I do not dispute what you say. However, Matty has gotten around licensing issues before. 2014 shows that they have a little wiggle room to include more than vintage, so looking for Karg would not be a vane desire. Scott and the gang are still holding some cards close to their chests, so we may still be in for surprises in 2015 and I am eager to see what is to come. That being said, I am all hope and no expectations.

Wow! I am positively drooling over what is coming in the next few months and in 2015. With Gwyldor and Blade in hand can we expect Karg and Saurod in 2015? I noticed that Stridor did not make the cut, and I am skeptical that he will come in 2015. Do you think you will pick one up from Nemesis? I would like to see a review from you on it. MOTUC 2015! Yeah!
