Iran would be no more "justified" in building nuclear weapons than those behind building the first ones.

"Americans aren’t the only ones shocked by U.S. Congressman Ron Paul’s assertion that international sanctions against Iran qualify as an “act of war.”" Being shocked by truth doesn't make it untrue. I recall Iraqi "pro-democracy freedom fighters" being trotted out to tell us how important it was for us to sacrifice treasure and young lives in Iraq too. Ron Paul spoke of the fruitless waste it would be back then as well. He was right.

Big Government : Holder Hearings Part Three: Impeachment Is Not Enough, Holder Needs to Be Handcuffed

This goes beyond incompetence to a blatant disregard for laws intended to constrain evil. He's poking his middle finger into our eyes, America. It's time we called these rodents in our White House what they are - Domestic enemies of the Constitution, truth, justice, liberty, and all that is good. If we truly love these things and desire the same for our posterity, something must be done other than simply witnessing the invasion and carnage. It's time for Congress, our representatives to put a stop to it, now! If they don't, they're either incompetent, cowardice, or conspirators, and must be dealt with or shoved aside.

The balanced budget amendment is a ruse! Think about it - Two-thirds of Congress is needed to pass the amendment.& two-thirds of Congress is needed to pass a veto proof balanced budget. Why not simply pass a veto proof balanced budget? Why raise the debt another 2 Trillion dollars pretending to want to be forced into what they apparently lack the intestinal fortitude or desire to do? We're being snookered! This amendment will only hand control of budgetary "crises" over to the Supreme Court!

Breitbart.tv : McConnell Defends Debt Ceiling Plan

My concern with the amendment is that it may very well turn the budget process over to the Supreme Court. It just doesn't pass the smell test - Why would 2 thirds of Congress vote for the amendment but lack the intestinal fortitude to simply vote for a balanced budget? The amendment won't improve politically motivated mindsets. The budget will end up before the Court.

Does he really think his reputation matters so much that we must turn the keys to our liberty over to Nero? God help us!

Big Government : In Face of Democrat Demands for Tax Hikes, Boehner Seeks Smaller Deal on Debt Ceiling

What's all this crapola about spending negotiations? The People's house (house of reps) controls the purse strings. If the Senate & the President don't "approve" what the house gives them NOTHING GETS SPENT. I'm good with that! Default on the debt - I'm good with that too. I'd rather start from scratch now than toil as a china-man's slave later. Grow a pair Boehner - And stop presenting OUR House as the president's foot-stool. His job is to administer what We the People tell him to. If he doesn't like what we give to do, let him twiddle his thumbs

Big Government : Patent Reform: Will Conservatives Allow Big Banks to Buy Congress?

Big bankers bought Congress in 1913 and have been telling them to mortgage the country ever since. They're now in the process of foreclosure. The time for bickering about individual bills is done. Let the incorporated United States go bust, tell the bankers to go screw themselves and rebuild from scratch. Better that than a lifetime of enslavement for our posterity.

$4 Billion? $64? Deficits have skyrocketed to 100s of Billions. The house should pass a bill that does the RIGHT thing! If the Democrats and leftist Republicans in the Senate refuse to pass it then let them answer to we the people.
Big Government : Sunday Open Thread: TSA Edition

Throughout years of air travel I've never been aware of entering into a civil contract with the US Govt's "TSA" that places me at risk of "fine" and prison for not submitting to what amounts to strip searches. The only contract I'm aware of is the US Constitution, and it requires the government to provide a trial by jury before punishment can be levied for not following the "law." I'm not positive but I think it's still valid. I say let every passenger carry a weapon while the good guys still outnumber the bad. Call it vigilante justice if you want but I'll take my chances along side fellow Americans exercising their right to self-preservation over the "lawful" tyranny of an incompetent nanny government any time, any day.
