I am sure I am not the only person who noticed this but the quality of food, portion sizes and overall vibe went downhill big time the last 3 years. I will be sad to see a Boulder staple go, but I saw the writing on the wall the last couple times I went. The quality wasn't there and sometimes you can just feel when a business is taking its last breath. Best of luck to new endeavors. I hope whoever owns the building is being really smart about what is taking its place. The location is too good and it calls for something that is really vibrant and is great for all times of the day (brunch, lunch, dinner, late night ****tails, etc.) Fingers crossed!

Bruce needs to just cruise over to the once energized Hill district across campus where the majority of CU Boulder students live, work and play an see how in shambles it is. That should give him some clues on where the effort has been lacking for CU Boulder. I have no clue if the University has any ties to The Hill - but for this area to be such a CU driven area (it's just as important as the campus itself, as it houses many of the students), attention needs to be brought to it. I felt like I was walking in a war zone when I was up there today. Yikes. Every other storefront is empty and closed, and the new businesses are just garbage and won't last a year.

It doesn't even mirror what it was like when I was at CU just recently in 2005-2009. Help the Hill!

CU no doubt needed a reputation boost after some questionable years, but people need to realize that this a public university that attracts students from all over the world. There will be parties. College is about learning and making mistakes and then hopefully learning from those. Kids are out on their own for the first time in their lives. If this Ryan guys excepts admitted CU students to lay back and play video games on weekends like this dumb photo shows, he is so far from reality and shouldn't have his position at CU. Please just let The Hill be the Hill - too much reinforcement will cause CU to be zero fun and the right mix of students will no longer want to come here for school. If you ask any alumni (from any range of time), news of CU wanting to clean out all the fun, would be very sad news indeed. I am all for creating a safe environment and for wanting to balance the reputation.... but please don't take the fun out of this great place and make it stale. CU has a certain spark that attracts people from all over for a reason..... GO Buffs.

Yet how are the buddha, smoke shops all over town able to stay in business? On Pearl street nonetheless (with crazy rent I can imagine)? I never see a soul in those stores when I walk but - something sketchy has got to be going on behind closed doors.

RIP yoyo's

Kudos to these guys, after a long and tough season, to play with some heart in a very undesirable tournament. That shows character. They should try to win this thing.

I am one of the few (I think) who is not upset about Booker not wanting to play. He played semi hurt the last few games of conference play and he felt like his job was done. I think it's very unselfish for him to want his former teammates to play a few games without him before going into the next year. There is nothing wrong with that. I will say, however, that he needed to be there last night as a fan, watching and supporting (even if not on the bench.) That was a misstep on his part and it doesn't look great to outsiders who don't know the whole story.

Regardless, CU can only go up from here. This season was lousy. I am hopeful for next year with some new blood on the team. Sometimes it takes a tough year to get to where you want to be.

I am very hopeful this year was an "off year" with major growing pains. The mental toughness has got to improve no doubt. Someone needs to step up with real intensity and swagger. CU needs a player who makes everyone about him better, even on his off nights. The group didn't mesh well this year and it almost appeared like things weren't okay in the locker room.

Every single guy on the court needs to play every game like they want to make it in the NBA (even if it's not a reality.) That was not the case this year. Laughing on the sidelines when they are down by however many pts? C'mon. What a joke.

The CUINT was even weak this year in the student section!

Hopeful for next year...
