I remember not getting enough of Jacks. I got my mom to get me the gold jacks with the red ball... Pick Up Stix were fun, too. Ah, these games are classic!

I hear you! We have a 'No electronics Mon-Thu' rule in the house (except only when they need it for homework) and on weekends, they each get max of 1 hour each. In the past, I let them 'earn' extra time during the week if they do worksheets. That was okay, but they would go through many worksheets and end up doing a lot of 'earned' screen time. We're back now to strictly unplugging Mon-Thu and it's just so much more fun for everyone (yes, there were complaints initially, but once they knew we were not going to change the rule, they quickly found other stuff to do). They played more with each other, read more, got creative with their toys, did lots of pretend play.... It was just so good overall,

Oh, I was close to tears, but then my little girl was in tears, because she was so sorry that she deleted the files... I figured if she saw me crying, it would make her feel even worse.
