It's clear that he's implicitly criticising Obama for proposing withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't think Obama has any intention of withdrawing from Iraq and Afghanistan but that's not the point. The point is that Mickey Scheuer would be against it should he actually do so. Mickey Scheuer is not anti-war, in other words. He is pro-war. Just like he is not anti-torture. He is pro-torture. Or did you miss the little opinion piece he published in the Washington Post in which he criticised Obama for backing off a little on the Bush regime's torture policies? Scheuer is an out and out lunatic and was considered as such even at the CIA. You have welcomed him on board as a dissident thinker. But you have missed the point. Scheuer is a dissident from the opposite end of the pro/anti war spectrum of opinion to you. Scheuer was offering his critiques from the far-out extremist war-mongering fringe. He critiqued Bush & Cheney because they were not war-mongering enough for his tastes. Now he's doing the same to Obama.
