Thanks for the deconstruction of the powerpoint tool, and presentation practices in general. This should do a lot of good.
Johnny I have enjoyed reviewing your blog for the past few months. Your posts have regularly made me both laugh, and reflect on the way that I interpret literature, not just Shakespeare. I really like the new design format that you have applied to the blog, and I think that it will really aid anyone who wanders across your blog to readily identify your focus. I think that you have kept your aims really tight on Manga and Shakespeare, and I appreciate that. I may have said this before, but I wanted to thank you for reading my blog throughout the semester. It has been a great help to know that you were consistently one of the people that I knew I was writing a post for. I appreciate that. I hope that your process of discovery experienced through this blog helps you in adjusting your personal learning curve in other courses. Best of Luck.
Nice review Max. I have enjoyed reading from your blog for many months now, and I appreciate the effort that you have made to keep the blog focused, and to make every aspect of the blog support the business theme. I was regularly intrigued by your connections between Shakespeare and modern business practices. I hope that the process of discovery helps you in your other endeavors. Thanks for following my research blog throughout the course. I know I have said it previously, but it has greatly helped having some idea of the audience to whom I was writing directly. Thanks for that. Best of Luck.
martin this is fantastic. The comments that Chris has made here are wonderful. I think that he opens a plethora of possible research angles between comics and Shakespeare with his mention of Robin as the perfect counter balance to Batman. This makes me wonder if there isn't a certain foil in the batman saga that could be compared to the Hamlet story. I mean, Hamlet is surrounded by foils in his story, are there aspects of other characters in the Batman narrative that also serve this reflective purpose?
Hey Janelle,
I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to review my blog. I really appreciate your feedback. I will look into your suggestions and see what improvements I can make at this time.
Do you get bonus points for the more absurd, yet applicable you make a connection? hahaha. I love the flying Kindle
David I really like the summary that you provide here. This further shows just how focused your blog has been from the beginning and how maintaining a focus helps to develop an in depth thesis. I like the organization of your summary and how you link back to your previous research. I think that you have done a fantastic job throughout the semester, and have shown the products of consistency. I especially like that you directly phrase a few questions or subjects that you didn’t have time to address in the depth that you would have liked. I think that is a great way to illustrate the power of the blog to foster inquiry. Your focus has blossomed into a great working project.
hahaha. I like the Puppet-Person internal conflict you described at the beginning of the post for comical reasons, but I like how you used that experience to form a more narrow focus for your manga emphasis even more. Kudos for making that type of a connection. I know we don't have much time left in the semester, but I have really enjoyed reading your blog throughout this time. thanks for the laughter, and for the poignant insight into Manga as a form of legitimate teaching. I look forward to these last few posts about the methods of presentation in Manga and their measured impact on the text.
Max, Congratulations on your beautiful new Daughter!
Thanks for the attention Max. I think you are right, I have striven to approach my subject with a very fine focus, and it has yielded some good results. Interestingly, if a teacher had presented to me the challenge of drafting a thesis so closely focused i would have likely considered it extremely hard, but for some reason having elected this option myself took away the agitation of the difficulty and transformed that into an exciting challenge. I suppose that is a huge grace to the self-directed vs. directed learning approach. By the way, thanks for all your attention to my blog throughout the course. It felt good knowing there was a specific audience of core readers I could count on reviewing what I wrote.
