Big Hollywood : Another Look at the 25 Best Conservative Movies

Uh -- how about The MAtrix, folks? It is directly based on Plato's Allegory of the Cave -- a society run by a totalitarian state that controls every aspect of their thoughts, dreams, and lives. Fought by a group that has been released from the darkness in order to see the truth, and they need to convince others that their lives, no matter how comfortable, are a lie because they are so controlled. The computers represent the government-will-give-you-everything state of liberalism/socialism, while the fighters are the ones who speak truth to power and who see renewed energy in their cause by a God-like figure called Neo (religious faith brings power and conviction).
