Equestria Daily : New World of Warcaft Item Fires Ponies From a Cannon

So you would rather had a free to play game that would suck horribly since there would be crappy updates? A pay to win cash shop and forever grind fest? Honestly... Gaming is a hobby and with every hobby there is a cost to it. Either pay for your hobby or find another.

I don't see why you are complaining about a monthly subscription. Really its like $15-20 bucks... I put more money in my gas tank weekly than this game charges in a month. Time to get a job perhaps?

It was a wise move. There was no debate going on. It was a flame war. Just like Derpibooru and 4Chan and whatever site posted this. It should have been locked in the first place seeing as how fast it divulged into an argument.

Equestria Daily : Another Knockoff on the Way? Daring Do

A rock thrown into a pond makes small ripples at first, but give it enough time and those ripples become huge. The same goes for these plushy makers. They see Hasbro doing nothing to the fan makers and it gives them reason to do the same thing. The best way to stop intent is to show it will NOT be tolerated in ANY SHAPE OR FORM. That goes for everyone including small time commissions plush makers.

Yep, just like that keyboard you typed this message from which was most likely made in China as well. You get what you pay for is not always the case. Just because something is expensive doesn't mean it's good quality. And if you think that's then you are dumber than you seem to be.

I did look into the materials cost (Embroidery equipment, minky fabric by the yard, sewing thread, buttons, beads etc...), and yes, they are making a killing when you sell a standard pattern at 200-400 a plush. It's not like they are re-inventing the wheel with each plush. Things get a lot easier when you do the same thing over and over again. And believe me when I say they are making WAY more than your decent full time job when you are paying ZERO taxes, no employee costs (like insurance, paychecks, and other things regarding this field). Not all Chinese manufactures are sweat shops. They have standards of practice over there as well.

$10000 if sold at $10. $20000 if sold at 20. That doesn't matter. The fact of the matter is BOTH are using Hasbro's IP WITHOUT their permission. And BOTH are making a killing doing it. If they were to stop one then they should stop the other. But at least the ones made from China are coming up in quality and are affordable to most who honestly are not willing to spent so much on the same thing made from a fan. Granted they spend time making them, and the quality is good, but the pattern for the most part (show ponies) is the same! So if people want show ponies (like mane 6 or some of the other actual show ponies) I say let Hasbro make a deal with these guys to produce them. The fans can stick to the custom OC and unique style of plushs manufactures won't produce simply because the masses don't want it.

Are you stupid or something? Do you not see them selling plushes for 300-400 a pop? The average cost for a fan plush is anywhere between 200-400 a plush. That's not even including the ones selling for sometimes 500 and up on eBay.

That unfinished Daring Do seems like its standing fine on its own to me. Also remember most fan made plushes add weights to their hooves of them to make them stand up.

If Hasbro was to shut these guys down then they would have to go after every fan plushy maker as well. It's not really fair for them to go after these guys making cheap plushes when fans are making a killing selling the same thing at 300-400 a pop.

Honestly it doesn't matter. Fans use Hasbro's IP without their permission anyway, so who really cares if the dA artists get their stuff copied? You start dealing with black market products expect to have some of your work copied if its good enough.

Indeed quality control on an item like this is going to be minimal. Especially since it's pretty much a black market product (not licensed or even authorized by it's owner). But seeing as how they are pretty cheap you don't have much to fear if the quality is crap when the plush arrives in a less than desirable condition.

If the quality is good enough then I say go for it. Plus at the cheap price they are selling these for you can afford to take a loss if you really do get a crappy plush. IMO it's better than paying 400 for the same thing from a fan.

Pfft whatever. I'd rather pay 20 bucks for a plush instead of 400 for a fan made one. And besides... the fans are ripping off the show as well remember? Using Hasbro's IP WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION. So you tell me who's ripping off who?
