Some salient points a couple commenters seem to have missed.

1) The guy didn't start reading his bible after he got glasses. He had the bible before and presumably had been reading it until his progressively worsening eye condition made that impossible.

2) Nothing in the post suggests the man gave up drinking, or in other words, stopped sinning. He was a drunkard before and remains a drunkard.

3) This one is most important. The guy realized that actual work was more effective than prayer at obtaining a desired outcome: gaining the ability to repay a loan.

I was looking around for decent domain names, and found that atheistaction.org is already taken. They bill themselves as an organization to do just what you are wanting. However, it seems clear that they lack the resources, time, or knowledge to make it happen. Perhaps you should contact them.

The problem I see is that the SCA doesn't have a way to join as a member. It is an umbrella group for various other organizations, none of which offer any free membership levels.

Moveon.org can claim as many members as it does because it is free to join. While SCA does have a mailing list you can subscribe to, that is not the same as membership. So, we don't have a community organizing site that offers free membership, and until that changes, don't expect much.
