Yeppers. That's exactly it. And that's part of the reason why it resonates with so many fans of the show. Almost everyone would think that getting a pony like in the show would be awesome, but we all know, in reality, that can't happen. So how are you suppose to react when that actually does happen, but only temporarily? To get that taste of the thing you have only dreamed of. It must evoke tons of emotions.

Hey dude, that's what she is. The only things we know canon-wise is that she is kinda bossy, though she tried to work on it with Twilight. But the setting of this story is probably before Luna meets Twilight, which means she's still bossy. And I would be bossy too if I was imprisoned for a thousand years and then thrust into a ruling family again.
