ProPrint site : Printpoint calls in liquidators as sale talks continue

I would have thought the main staple of PrintPoint's business was books and magazines. Business Cards certainly would not be competitively suited a 6 colour A2 or A1 press. Every business needs to pick the right clients.

I think PrintPoint was a good contributor to the industry. They printed good work, marketed themselves well and conducted business in an ethical and professional manner. They certainly didn't deserve this outcome. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for Alan Rhodes and I applaud Tom Lusch for his sensitivity. The reason for PrintPoint's failure is not known to me, and is not my business. I am sure that the reasons are far more complex than their lack of interest in quoting work that was either unsuitable for their production model, or for a client they felt didn't fit their desired criteria. Alan Rhodes has spent years working hard to build his business. He must be personally devastated by this and I think we would be better to show some compassion in this situation rather than making smart comments.
