Since few of us watch MSNBC, we need to get this sent around to our friends so MSNBC will know what people really think of Obama. Otherwise, they will report everyone is happy. VOTE and send it on to your friends. It will take 3 seconds to vote…..and look at the results after you vote.

Do you know the name Lawrence Summers? Dr. Summers was the Treasury Secretary under Pres, Clinton who was the mastermind behind the loopholes in the financial regulations that allowed the toxic derivatives market to almost bankrupt this country. He now holds the post of Obama’s top economic advisor, and received $8 million dollars from Wall Street firms last year – hedge fund firms which Summers and his protégé, Tim Geithner are using to clean up toxic assets with taxpayer dollars.

Summers was the proponent behind the prevention of hedge fund regulation during the Clinton administration, which was at the center of the collapse of the derivatives market last year. In addition, Summers was paid outrageous amounts for speaking engagements at D.E. Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch and Citigroup as late as November 2008, shortly before these companies received bailout funds from American taxpayers.

The scariest point, is now Summers is in charge of overseeing the $2.86 trillion of bailout funds to these same companies he once protected from regulation, and received large payments from in the past year. Someone scream, CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

The FairTax greatly benefits all Americans, the elderly and ill are no exception. Every household receives a prebate based on their income bracket to cover taxes paid on necessities such as housing, lights, food, ect. therefore the people on fixed incomes will pay NO tax essentially because the prebate will cover those taxes for them.

Listen up 912’ers who are ready to do something with your time other than rant here – Who’s ready to get started?
After perusing many of the posts here it is obvious that some of you are a little lost where to start. My advice, in agreement with Glenn Beck, in your own back yards! There is already a political advocacy organization that stands for the rights of the 912 project – Campaign for Liberty. The primary mission for CFL is to promote and defend American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets and non-interventionist approach to foreign policy.

The most invaulable resource to track congress is http://www.acuratings.org/ The American Conservative Union has ranked officials since 1971 and their findings are used by media, pollists and strategists. Hope this helps!

If you want to do fundraising, it needs to be through a 501(c)(3) or some other IRS designation for tax purposes if the funds are to be tax deductable, however, there are no strings or limitations on pooling money together for a common purpose that I know of - I was a NPO administator for 10 years. About meeting at a "national chain" rest. - I think it would be better for us to gather in our communities, at local establishments - lets get back to basics and start in our own towns before we try to immediately go national - we can gain more ground that way.
