Video Game News & Reviews - Kombo.com : Random Access Memories: The Face of Fear

Actually, that might be it. I remember a pale face like that, though I seem to think it was more horror themed than sci-fi (which didn't tend to bother me). There were lightning effects too, but it was SO long ago. That could be the one. I will contemplate this and sleep on it. If I have nightmares...we may have a winner.

It couldn't have been Elvira...I used to watch her on TV all the time, and I wasn't afraid of her. I have looked around on the Pinball Database, but have never found that scary face. Actually, I'm kinda glad I've never seen it again...it might bring back bad memories!

Well, the movie itself WAS pretty bad...but the scene using the Star Fox footage actually turned out to be the best part. It really wowed the audience...or got a good laugh, one. Either way, it was what our film was remembered for.

Thanks, that's how I felt while doing it. It really is a simple procedure, but I was so careful not to mess anything up. I'm no electronics engineer. I will say to anyone who's NES has symptoms like mine did, the 72-Pin Connector transplant works wonders! I love my Nintendo!

Nah, he kinda freaked out when the thing tore. I think he just wanted to snatch it and run, but it tore. He surely couldn't pick it all up, so he ran. It just happened to be right into my driver side door. That said, we didn't know what the hell this dude was gonna do. He was really sketchy from the start.

Nobody got hurt. The guy was just crazy, and it wasn't the kind of thing we wanted to get mixed up in. We had already made a decision to leave before he actually made his move. It all happened simultaneously. The arcade attendant handled himself and the guy chased us! Yes, we were scare of him and I was very concerned about my mom's car too. That guy split after letting go of my door handle. My buddy knew the area, he knew what to do and I followed his lead. Everyone was safer for it.

I was probably in my first year of college, so about 18 or 19. My Mom taught me to be an agressive driver and, man, I loved that little car! I loved that arcade too, but the state it was in was getting bad and after this, dangerous too. I stay out of that area completely these days.

Hey, I don't agree with it either, but that doesn't mean that Mein Kampf is worthless. It has been studied by many and offers insights into the mind of a madman. It does have academic value in that sense, and that's what I meant in the article. It IS indeed propoganda, much like Modern Warfare 2, but even propaganda has some merit.

Video Game News & Reviews - Kombo.com : Square-Enix Eases Up 18 Hour Boss from Final Fantasy XI

I agree. Part of what made this childhood memory so strong was the fact that we had no idea what to do. There were no guides and no Internet. What we had were like two bombs, and we argued for about ten minutes whether or not to risk wasting one on a wall that may or may not open up. All newer Zelda games show clear cracks or bulges in a wall you can bomb. In the first it was plant and pray! If you look at the map, the room in question is not indicated, something that the game had yet to throw at us. My friend, "The Knight," did not believe there would be a room there, but my gut told me it had to be. We cheered incessantly when we made the find.

That map comes from an old Zelda comic book published by Valiant Comics. They also did Super Mario Bros. and Captain N (and other Nintendo comics). It was very similar to the cartoon show. The above map shows the joined overworlds of Zelda I and Zelda II. I always liked it..

Those games may be somewhat well respoected, but are not the blockbuster hits they deserve to be. I believe that their lack of "epicness" is a direct cause of that.

Lucky & Wild was a much later two-seater with similar drive and shoot gameplay. The thing is it's so difficult to do both that the team-up wroked great. That's part of a strengths-based team!

There is only ONE profile on Modern Warfare 2 for the PC because it is linked to your Steam account. That's only ONE for Single Player, Spec Ops, AND Multiplayer. That game was a big impetus for this little rant. The original Modern Warfare on PC let you create as many profiles for eitehr as you wanted. There's just no excuse for eliminating it.

I know it's a bold pronouncement. I'll sum up my logic: Super Mario Bros. 3 = SMB3 New Super Mario Bros. Wii = NSMBW Best Game Ever = SMB3 NSMBW > SMB3 NSMBW = Best Game Ever I came to this realization by World 3. I'm still having a blast!

I have the PC version, and I'm not a hardcore PC'er, but I saw it as a viable alternative to an HD console. The only things that really botehr me about MW 2 are the lack of multiple profiles for single and multiplayer and the iunability to cahng the FOV for my 1680x1050 monitor, which to be honest I didn't even notice the first time I played, it's just ht eprincipal that botehrs me. At least they can patch the PC version in the future.

I've said many times that I hold no grudge against those who genuinely don't like certain games. It's the people that judge them prematurely or make up crazy reasons why it's somehow inferior. It's one thing to try something and not like it, it's anotehr to apply some universal and ridiculous standard to every game and not even give them a real chance.
