It’s freighting and its evil, a thing I just can’t face.
A place of my own creation, this festering putrid place.

This retched place of madness, where I don’t want to go.
That lonely place of darkness, that eerily feels like home.

I’m fighting and I’m clawing, trying to stay a float.
But all the time I’m falling, like someone’s tipped the boat.

I’m dead while I’m living, my mind it just can’t cope.
I’m trying my best to fight it, but sadly there is no hope.

It’s time for me to go now…

Back to the place of madness, the place I made my own.
That lonely place of darkness, which is forever now my home.

Dark Mind
There’s a darkened corner in the recess of my mind.
Don’t dare try to go there you won’t like what you find.

Some days when I wake up and take a look around
I feel as though I’m better, but then I start to get dragged down.

Back to the place of madness, where I don’t want to go.
That lonely place of darkness, that eerily feels like home.

No ones there to help me, or take on such a task.
I know you say you want to, but you know not what you ask.

I wrote this a while back when I had something tragic happen in my life.
Now it seems to fit my feelings about where my country is heading.

I'll get the stickers on the bike at least for next weekend. We are racing at Topeka KS. I'll post some pictures from the race.

I can’t think of any way it would.
Anyone that knows anything about racing knows about how much work is involved. There is hope that you win, humility if you don’t. Gratitude for the help from friends and sponsors, which involves charity on their part. As for courage and personal responsibility, well… have you ever been 190 MPH on a motorcycle bumping elbows with other riders?

Here is something I started thinking about this weekend.

I have a race team and I race motorcycles professionally in the AMA series. Last weekend there had to be at least 40,000 people at Mid Ohio watching the races. All the races are televised as well, so the potential to reach thousands more is there. The large number of people that get “brand exposure” is the only reason we get sponsors for the team. So normally I get a fair bit of money for sponsorship space on the race bikes.
What I would like to know is, would it be OK with you guys at 912 if I paint (the912project.com) on the side of my race bikes and trailer? I would be willing to do this for free to help get the word out. Because as the economy keeps getting worse sponsorship dollars will keep drying up. I lost my Hitachi Tools deal because of the economy, so that gave me some free space on the bike. Kind of ironic isn’t it?

Also I would be willing to do some press releases announcing a new sponsorship deal with 912. That alone should draw in a few thousand to at least check out the web site. Then I could have a table set up for any literature that some of you may want to provide.

Hey if Geico can have a guy dressed like a lizard walking around, girls in body suits and a Banner Plane flying at the events surely we can have something. Maybe a guy dressed as a Founding Father or a Minute Man, I don’t know.

I know it’s not the typical means of getting the word out, but it’s something. Any input would be appreciated.
