Sheila Walsh : WHY I AM THANKFUL

Happy, Happy Thanksgiving Sheila! One of the many things I'm thankful for is your ministry! I absolutely adore your music, your gift of writing (especially Angel Song- GREAT book!) and speaking and your love for people. It's been so cool watching you grow and transform over the years!! Especially now since you have a son and have gotten into sports! That's AWESOME!!! :) LOL

Sheila Walsh : Use your INSIDE VOICE!!!!!

I can understand being a techie junkie- I love that stuff too, just can't afford it. However, it's when it consumes and totally takes over our lives that I have a problem with it. For example, last year my younger sister and I had the RARE opportunity to spend a few days with our older brother and sister-in-law! Just us, NO kids or husbands and it was absolutely WONDERFUL! He took us to Disneyland for a day to celebrate his retirement and almost the WHOLE day, my sister was on her phone... The rest of us had an AWESOME time talking and being the family we never really got to be, but... she missed out b/c she couldn't put down her phone for 1 day. Talk about being disconnected... What happened to love, respect, courtesy and plain 'ol good manners?? I LOVE technology, but if this is what we're driven to because of it, I'd just as soon it all go away...

BTW... I don't know you that well, but I don't think of you as neat and tidy!! ;) Not many people are. :) I have close ties to several people who are "in the public eye" and know how they present themselves to others. It really puts "famous" people's lives in perspective, no matter how well put together they seem. :) I really appreciate your honesty and transparency and I have both learned and gained wisdom from you and your words. Thank you for that! Love ya! :)

I soooo agree with you about struggling with television as a medium for spiritual truths! The only good thing about it, is when it leads non-believers to the truth. Yet it can seem that truth is based on a fantasy when those new believers encounter hardships with very different outcomes than what they see on TV. If I'm being honest, it's sometimes hard for me, and I've been a christian most of my life. Since I'm being honest, it's even like that with events like WOF, and church. Unless you have a relationship with those people, which most don't, everything seems just as neat and tidy in their lives as what you see on television, soooo... how do you get around that? Maybe not being so neat and tidy?? I don't know, but I DO know that God will bless you and Cindy and those that are blessed to hear her message! You are loved!

Sheila Walsh : YOU BELONG HERE

Wow! Thanks Sheila! I think I needed this today! Sometimes it's hard to feel like you belong anywhere, especially when you do not live close to family. Even "created" families fall short of making you feel that sense of belonging sometimes, but it's great to know that God loves us and WANTS us ALL the time, not just when it's convenient for Him. Bless you for that reminder today! Lots of love to you!
