However, it's when it consumes and totally takes over our lives that I have a problem with it. For example, last year my younger sister and I had the RARE opportunity to spend a few days with our older brother and sister-in-law! Just us, NO kids or husbands and it was absolutely WONDERFUL! He took us to Disneyland for a day to celebrate his retirement and almost the WHOLE day, my sister was on her phone... The rest of us had an AWESOME time talking and being the family we never really got to be, but... she missed out b/c she couldn't put down her phone for 1 day. Talk about being disconnected... What happened to love, respect, courtesy and plain 'ol good manners?? I LOVE technology, but if this is what we're driven to because of it, I'd just as soon it all go away... The only good thing about it, is when it leads non-believers to the truth. Yet it can seem that truth is based on a fantasy when those new believers encounter hardships with very different outcomes than what they see on TV. If I'm being honest, it's sometimes hard for me, and I've been a christian most of my life. Since I'm being honest, it's even like that with events like WOF, and church. Unless you have a relationship with those people, which most don't, everything seems just as neat and tidy in their lives as what you see on television, soooo... how do you get around that?
