Typically, the EBC brand products do not run a "metal" shim. They run a composite/fiber shim. It should cure the problem regarding rust resistance.

You don't mention your make, model, year, version car/truck. So it's difficult to give you a model specific answer. But, Goodridge typically will duplicate the exact number of hoses that come from the factory, just make them in stainless steel. It's rare, but there could be a case where they can consolidate what was two rubber hoses into one stainless hose. -JB

There are a lot of specifics with that make/model. Is the vehicle in the U.S. or which country? We can likely get exact sku if you measure outside rotor dimension and let us know what that is exactly. You can measure through the wheels by placing a flat file on the top and bottom of the rotor and measure the distance in between.

Which are the best brake pads for a 1994 BMW 525i? For brake pads with an excellent bite, my first choice is the StopTech 309 version brake pads for the front set, sku 309.03940. I actually have a 2001 525i and use those pads combined with the StopTech slotted rotors, but being that your vehicle will primarily be used for commuting, choose the 125 High Carbon version Centric/StopTech rotors sku 125.34024 front rotors.
