These kids embrace education. They are not protesting the fact they have to take a test. They take tests all the time. They are trying to change the law on this new test. They don't believe the $36,000,000 that this test is costing the state education fund is a smart use of funds. Fairview is one school that can make a statement about such a test since they have the highest test scores in the state. They are not hiding from anything. They are not trying to get out of anything. They are trying to make a positive change for future students. Colorado ranks at the bottom of all states in terms of funding education. It seems to me that 38 million could be used to actually help educate kids. What I don't understand is how could a test that is online cost so much? There are no people to pay to grade it and there are no materials to purchase. The testing company is the winner here. If you spend the money on the process of learning the results will take care of themselves.
