KOMO - Seattle, WA : Enumclaw martial arts teacher charged with child rape | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Breaking News

I'm not surprised by these charges. When my daughter brought home Shane's martial arts flyer in her school papers, I was horrified. Shane's always behaved very inappropriately toward the waitresses at the local restaurant. Since, he'll grab at women in public, it's quite possible that he'd do much more with a girl in private.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Teen stabbed in neck during fight at Spanaway school | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Traffic an

Tisbetrue, I don't know you, but your friend's child's situation sounds just like my daughter's. I also enrolled her in an online school for her own safety. My daughter was one of the brightest children in the school, so it's the local school's loss. I would rather the the tax dollars for my daughter's public schooling be paid to the local district, and she was an asset to the other children (whenever they didn't understand anything, they would ask her for help), but no one stood up for her when she was repeatedly bullied by the cool girl. When I said something to the overly authoritarian vice principal (he's now been promoted to the high school), my daughter was then treated like she had done something wrong and the harassment became much worse. I have no idea who the wealthy, bony, cool girl is bullying now, but I can guarantee you that the school administrators have done nothing to stop her and her mom thinks her daughter can do no wrong.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : More than 100 neglected horses rescued from Oregon ranch | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Tr

How pathetic that people were aware of these animals suffering, yet no action was taken until they were in such desperate condition. Regarding usernamegeneric's derogatory comment, I find it very insensitive to joke about rape (of horses or people). Many people in Enumclaw are devoted to horses and provide them with good care. Overall Enumclaw is a very good area and the behavior of a few sociopathic men should not taint my town. Our police and state senator, Pam Roach took immediate action when they learned what had happened.
