I also enrolled her in an online school for her own safety. My daughter was one of the brightest children in the school, so it's the local school's loss. I would rather the the tax dollars for my daughter's public schooling be paid to the local district, and she was an asset to the other children (whenever they didn't understand anything, they would ask her for help), but no one stood up for her when she was repeatedly bullied by the cool girl. When I said something to the overly authoritarian vice principal (he's now been promoted to the high school), my daughter was then treated like she had done something wrong and the harassment became much worse. I have no idea who the wealthy, bony, cool girl is bullying now, but I can guarantee you that the school administrators have done nothing to stop her and her mom thinks her daughter can do no wrong.
