No, sorry, I'm not going to stop bashing landlords when one landlord in particular has a significantly larger portion of the market. Now, it's his to do with as he pleases to a degree, but it doesn't mean he has to exploit it, which he has. This town is so PRO landlord it's ridiculous: from the city council who gives landlords such incredible rights over tenants, under the guise of college students and this crap called pre-leasing, to the deep pocketed oligarchs named Tebo who influence every decision in this town. Another Boulder provider of small venue music goes down. The troubling trend continues as landlords (ahem, landlord) argue that market rates force to them to price such a way. Boulder residents, if this is your choice, then so be it. But Boulder is definitely losing (or has lost) the identify that made it such an attractive place to start with. Perhaps the town needs to become relatively sterile to show people what they are missing so they can enact change once again.
