I used to love playing jacks! Sadly I had a bad habit of leaving them out on our hardwood floors. Somehow the adults never really appreciated that when they stepped on them with their bare feet- go figure. I remember skating on the sidewalks after school, back in the days when everyone wore hard soled shoes. Remember skate keys? For my 10th birthday I had a skating party at the roller rink. I got a black velvet skating skirt lined with red satin. I was all that- or so I thought at the time anyway!

Sometimes I wonder why sme little ones have to go through so much. Twenty five years ago in our little group of friends, 3 out of the 4 kids got sick- real sick. One had stomach cancer, one had heart problems and our Brett had a stroke. All the kids were less than 3. It really makes you wonder.

Good for you not making yourself crazy before your reunion! I went to my first and last reunion last October. It was my 40th. It was interesting to see our HS football star balding and a paunchy now, especially since I haven't changed one bit. And if you believe that I've got a bridge for you!

Woman get thee to an acupuncturist ASAP! I had another hot flash while in the acupuncturist's office. (I was there for my knee). He said "Let me see if I can help you with those." They stopped then and there and have NOT come back. It's fabulous!

Don't worry about embarrassing your kids. I did it plenty when mine were growing up- usually by accident and none of them became serial killers.
