But there is no credible evidence proving he is a current citizen.

Note that even if he was born in US, he possibly became an Indonesian citizen, and remains that today.

I wonder if they are really that "stupid" .... or deliberately confusing for some (political) purpose.

I would day "political" purpose .... but not sure that is correct, (but almost has to be).

Either way is SHAMEFUL ... and a DISGRACE to our country and each citizen individually.

It appeared that he was dedicated, (and did the press-conferences) ... UNTIL he was "charged" and then he suddenly STOPPED talking ..

I think some "deal" was made for him to stop his investigation revealing and not further prosecute.

I "HOPE" ... but don't count on it ...

The traditional thing to do is to "forgive" and start from scratch, (just like Ford pardoned Nixon and Bush never blamed Clinton for 9/11 when it was 99% an intelligence failure under him, (and Clinton even admits he had chances to take-him-out or arrest him and didn't).

But if Cruz wins he surely won't because that would also expose him as illegal, (and possibly not even a legal "citizen").

But I don't think there is any chance of Cruz winning because the Dems WILL SUE him the day after the nomination, (and they would have standing so not likely to be summarily dismissed).

YES ... Trump needs to get his FACTS straight on this. He has many times spoken of NoBama's situation with WRONG terms.

He needs a very through briefing from Zullo on NoBama as well.

I agree .... it is THEM that Cruz is hurting the most, (and Jeb, Fiorina, etc. ... they ALL should sue jointly -- then no one can blame any individual one for suing).

If they don't and Cruz/Rubio does win, DNC WILL SUE the day after the convention is over ....

Does anyone know what the RNC recourse could be if DNC sues and "wins" -- and Cruz is barred from the ballots ???

I agree with your observations of the actual wordings, but of course the overriding factor is that the 1790 law was changed (corrected) in 1795.
