KOMO - Seattle, WA : Washington weighs lethal meds for terminally ill | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | News

Okay, Renton has valid points. I guess it depends on how it's written and what the stipulations are. I had some reservations about organ donation too. I had learned from some who were in comas but then recovered, how their families were badgered constantly by the doctors to end the life of their loved one just because they had signed up as organ donors--but then the patient miraculously recovered. Thankfully, the family followed their gut instincts and stuck it out. However rare those cases are, it makes you pause and say, "But, what if?" It's a tough issue.

We should get to choose whether we live or not if suffering from a painful, debilitating, terminal illness. You can set up a Living Will to take care of that; but still, I notice that doctors will still ask the family when to institute that Living Will. And I better not hear someone say, "The Lord giveth and the Lord should taketh...." believe it or not, some people do not believe in a Supreme Being, so I hope that stays out of the argument.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Lawmakers emerge from session on Palin ethics | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | National

First of all, these posts talk about every politician having some skeleton to hide. That may be true. Then, the posts go off on tangents about drug use, which is not nearly as damning as doing something vindictive to another person--which should worry the American people about her temperament. Let's just face it, when coupled with her image of being ignorant, evasive (which equates with dishonesty), and being "blonde" in a "brunette's clothing", she comes across as someone who is not qualified to run anything but perhaps a soccer team.

So, not only is she inexperienced, evasive on tough issues, she is vindictive. What a black eye for the Republicans..... Hmm.........GO OBAMA!!! GO!

Reichert is very charismatic and seemed genuine in his proposals to help schools and education. Not sure if he will follow through though, but we must put our faith into someone. I like the idea of term limits. It's beyond our comprehension how Terry Bergeson keeps her job--she has done irreversible damage to our kids-setting them up for failure and the stats from her office are suspect.

How much education do you have in your life? From my perspective hardly none. Initials to a name? Give me a break if you did not get that old humor. In your own words you are claiming she has more experience, yet can you tell me and millions of other viewers and listeners why Sarah Palin has skirted the tough questions in her interviews? Fill in the blanks.

All you people who are scared about Obama, should reconsider who the scary person is. Let's look at the facts. With McCain's bouts with cancer and given his very old age, he has a 35% chance of dying and a greater chance of being seriously ill within the next 8 years. So, here's the question. Does SARAH PALIN SCARE YOU? You should be scared....because let's see here....umm....who's next in line should McCain suffer health problems or die during his term, should he be elected? You will get a bimbo president (initials Sarah Palin) who skirts tough issues, because she doesn't have the experience or the KNOWLEDGE.

That's an unfair assessment on your part. Follow rules of debate is not commensurate to following rules as President. The rules of debate creates too much constrain and I find that totally unfair-albeit we need time limits, but let's not limit the debaters so much we cannot get the full gist of what their policies are.

Watch the movie, "Mr. Holland's Opus" if you want a glimpse of why we are a country full of sports stars, and how the subjects that would matter in the long run are passed up, all for the sake of $$$$. As the character in that movie says,"It would be the end of western civilization ..." if the football program were cut. We have so many people with little knowledge of the arts, it's pathetic. This, "kick ass" attitude has filtered down from generation to generation and any interest in cultural pursuits, is seen as "gay". Only in America.....

Aw c'mon. You are making a generalization, don't you think? My husband used to work for Microsoft, but his whole dept. was outsourced. Whose idea was that? Some guy who was an egotist working his way to the top. Just by chance, he's a Mormon. Just by chance, after outsourcing my husband's colleagues and dept. this egotist, hired more Mormons. Coincidence? Maybe. But hmm...they were all white....they were Mormon.
