UPDATED POST: I received an erroneous report from Brian C. Ledbetter of Snapped Shot to the effect that the Islamic Saudi Academy's expansion plan had been rejected by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in Virginia. Then I had to go out, and the erroneous information was up here for 45 minutes. I apologize for the error. In reality, as expected, the Board brushed aside concerns about the school's Islamic supremacist curriculum and approved the expansion.

The accused ringleader of a U.S.-based group that allegedly was plotting to wage "violent jihad" against Americans told an FBI agent he'd gone to terrorism training camps in Connecticut and Pakistan, the agent testified Tuesday.

A plot by Islamic extremists in Melbourne to launch a suicide attack on an Australian Army base has been uncovered by national security agencies.

Al Qaeda’s second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahri said a truce offered to the last U.S. administration was still on the table, but President Barack Obama must withdraw troops from Muslim lands and meet other demands.
“If Obama wants to (reach) an understanding then he should respond to Sheikh Osama (bin Laden’s) two offers,” Zawahri said in an interview with al Qaeda’s media arm As-sahab, posted on an Islamist website on Monday.
