Breitbart.com : High-end medical option prompts Medicare worries

You know, $1500 for that kind of access to medical care is NOT a lot of money. Not when you look at people's dishes, or that people happily pay $100 /month for cable and internet. Also, doctors see that they can make that kind of money doing primary care -- guess what -- we'll get MORE doctors, not doctors leaving in droves. Here's another clue. I DO NOT OWE YOU your medical care anymore than I owe you your beer or cable or internet.

Breitbart.com : Diabetic Ore. man \'doing fine\' after dog eats toes

The dog was simply doing what it would do to itself: debriding the dead tissue so that the healthy tissue would not become infected. The dog did what surgeons did when the man got to the hospital. The dog did NOT "eat the man alive." I sure hope that cool heads prevail, and that this dog isn't put down by ignorant people.

Big Journalism : Credit Where It's Due: Daily Mail Profiles Regis Giles

Well, you dismiss the instinct to hunt WAY to easily. You speak of all those supermarkets as if they were water wells -- inexhaustible supplies of food. They're not. Have you ever seen those supermarket shelves right before a big snow storm? Have you ever read anything about how our just-in-time supply system works? That is, just how much food do you think is stored IN the supermarket, anyway? One day's worth? two? Our food is "stored" in trucks on highways on its way TO those "stores." In any kind of economic crisis lasting more than a few days, that will all come to a screeching HAULT. How long do you think it will be until all of the readily-edible food is gone? Is it not a good thing that we maintain our ability to hunt, farm, fish, and feed -- not to mention Defend -- ourselves if ONLY to appear to be less vulnerable to an enemy? And have all of you people who feel morally superior to hunters considered your own motives, and your glee in readily assigning evil motives to the hunters? You really do sound pretty "blood-thirsty" in your own way in giving yourselves permission to hate -- yes, hate -- your fellow human beings who think differently about hunting than you do. Ever thought about THAT?

In the presence of their betters, most people react with appropriate Respect. Others, well, they try to pull the hero down to their level, which is like trying to hold a balloon filled with the breath of Freedom's Heros beneath the surface of a sewerage pond. Sorry, but God wrote those rules, and we know who just naturally shoots to the top emitting the well-known "HOOah!!"

Truly bizarre. What IS the movie about without the Christian angle anyway? What IS her motivation? And, hate to bring this up, but what are we going to do about that big sign in HOLLYwood?
Breitbart.tv : Granny Foils Jewelry Store Robbery With Handbag

In the most recent case like this -- Tucson -- there were at the scene SEVERAL concealed weapons permit holders who were armed. BUT, they chose NOT to draw there weapons, because they could see that the perp had ALREADY been taken down, and was under control. They did NOT pull their weapons and start shooting; they did NOT create a "war zone" you idiot. Also, the people who were there, and DID intervene did so KNOWING they were in Arizona, KNOWING they were in a state where their fellow citizens were likely to be armed, and were -- and yet -- contrary to your "logic" -- they intervened! They clearly were NOT afraid of a "war zone." So much for your over-heated, irrational gun fantasies. Also, I served as a Deputy Sheriff in VT, a state that had NO gun laws. None. It was legal to walk down the street with a gun on your hip, and some people did, though not many. But just about every car, and pickup truck had deer rifles, and pistols inside, often in plain sight hanging in the rear window. It was NO BIG DEAL. High School kids had them in their trucks so they could hunt before school and after. No big deal. According to you, the whole state was a "war zone," but, in fact, it had a VERY low crime rate. I mean, if you were a criminal, and you saw people driving around with high powered rifles in their trucks would YOU decide to commit a crime?

Breitbart.tv : Anderson Cooper: 'I'm a Little Bit Scared'

I'm not an Anderson Cooper fan, or of others like him, but I will give respect where it is due. He is THERE. And, any person who isn't scared in a situation like that is a damned fool. Anderson, I am praying for you and for your crew, for your families that they may have strength, and God's Peace to sustain them in this scary time, and for the other journalists who are there. I pray that God will grant you all courage, good judgment, and the good sense to pray for each other. I am also praying for your families, and your colleagues back in the world.

Gosh. Hundreds of thousands of people blast little clay ash trays out of the sky every weekend in a sport called Skeet Shooting, and Trap Shooting using technology that's about 500 years old. 12 year olds do it regularly. Yes, yes, there's a bit more to it than that, but, as what's his name said, Why were the Russians so afraid of it?

Breitbart.tv : Driver Takes School Bus Across Raging River

This isn't QUITE as insane as it looks. The buses DO appear to be full of passengers -- adult passengers -- which means it's carrying about 40 adults at, say, 150 lbs. per adult. That's 150 x 40 = 6,000 lbs, or 3 Tons of cargo. It was still a crazy thing to do, IMO.
