BUT, they chose NOT to draw there weapons, because they could see that the perp had ALREADY been taken down, and was under control. Also, the people who were there, and DID intervene did so KNOWING they were in Arizona, KNOWING they were in a state where their fellow citizens were likely to be armed, and were -- and yet -- contrary to your "logic" -- they intervened! They clearly were NOT afraid of a "war zone." So much for your over-heated, irrational gun fantasies. Also, I served as a Deputy Sheriff in VT, a state that had NO gun laws. None. It was legal to walk down the street with a gun on your hip, and some people did, though not many. But just about every car, and pickup truck had deer rifles, and pistols inside, often in plain sight hanging in the rear window. It was NO BIG DEAL. High School kids had them in their trucks so they could hunt before school and after. No big deal. According to you, the whole state was a "war zone," but, in fact, it had a VERY low crime rate.
