Big Hollywood : In Memoriam: Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012)

I couldn't believe the news when I heard it in passing, then I looked up Drudge. Completely stunned. I work in cardiology, and even with a history of heart problems, 43 is way too young. I remember first seeing Andrew on Red Eye. He could be extremely funny and self-depricating, yet was passionate with his conservative convictions. Rest in peace, Andrew. May God watch over your family.

In my experience, when reading about Sansa I went from being annoyed, to sympathetic, to actually excited. I do like seeing the growth of a character. She is learning from the master manipulator now after all.

Yeah, she has definitely reverted back to an earlier form of herself, but that may have been the point. She is sitting in that city doing nothing. She was at her greatest when she was conquering.

There ARE heroes, but they are few and far between, and most of them are imperfect. The sex is probably a bit much for some people which is understandable. The profanity is not excessive in the least and is appropriate to the characters and situation when it appears.

"Tyrion becomes much more sympathetic and, strangely, he earns your respect despite his evil behavior" What "evil" behavior? Or were you being sarcastic? Tyrion is sympathetic precisely because he is NOT evil, but rather unjustly perceived as so for being a dwarf (and because of his family's reputation). His father, Tywin, hates him for causing the death of his wife while giving birth to him . Except for Jon Snow, everyone judges him poorly based on his appearance despite how intelligent and well spoken he is. He earns your respect because despite his small stature, he survives and excels because of his wit. He is certainly a mixed bag of clever, honorable, good-natured, and flippant. I agree with the sex being over-the-top for some of the episodes. They could have cut out the scene where Littlefinger gives his exposition while instructing his whores on how to please a man. His motivations could have been more cleverly revealed. A man like Littlefinger, who is a master of information, would know better than to discuss such things openly with his employees. I do hope Season 2 deviates from using "sexposition" to explain to the audience a character's motives.

Big Hollywood : Daniel Craig Nearly Handed Back His License to Kill

I would give you ten thumbs up if I could! People are so used to the romanticized version of James Bond that even when the audience was told Casino Royale was to be a "reboot" to the franchise, the comparisons were still made. Unavoidable and understandable though. Casino Royale was fantastic. That last scene had the best uttering of "The name's Bond, James Bond" I've heard. The sequel was awful, but I'm hoping the third will redeem it.

Big Hollywood : Ben Kingsley Nails the Modern Movie Malaise

Thanks for mentioning that scene in TDK. That was perhaps my favorite scene in the movie, and I was silently cheering when Alfred said that. Although the action was top notch, I found the social commentary and character development far more interesting. That scene with Alfred led to Batman making the decision that sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures, when he made everyone's cell phone his monitoring device. The obvious real-word parallel is the Patriot Act. Batman never did break his one rule, but he certainly went farther over the line than he intended to. The movie was a success because it had what Ben Kingsley said in this article that most movies nowadays lack. A good story.

Big Hollywood : Daily Call Sheet: 'Burn Notice' Season Finale, Bundy Sale, and Tweet of the Year!

I know I may be in the minority here, but I can't stand the Fiona character. Michael cares more about his career! You can't change a man through nagging, give it a rest! Sadly, I've been slowly losing interest with Burn Notice over the years. There is only so many episodes one can take of Michael trying to find the guy behind the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy that burned him. That and the "torture doesn't work" episode, turned me off. /rant off It's a shame though, I really like the majority of the cast. At least I found a new ex-spy show in Person of Interest.

Big Government : BREAKING: Herman Cain Now Leads GOP Field Among Primary Voters, Says New Zogby Poll

Is this possible? Have the people woken up and realized that substance matters more than style? I sincerely hope Cain can get the nomination. This poll is good news indeed. I, like many conservative voters, were worried about having to vote for either Romney or Perry when it came time. Hopefully I will not have to compromise my values when I pull the lever. Cain 2012!
