Good point. Leavers will always try to blame the EU if they don't get Brexit, but they were undone by their own Parliament and their own side.

Frankly, that bizarre interval where he tried to mumble the police caution was excruciating. He looked like he was off his head on either booze or drugs. Very reassuring in a supposed leader.

Some Labour voters can be pretty racist too, especially unreconstructed ones in the North (I live there). While many support a diverse Cabinet, including me, more than a few of these people will not. Sadly, words such as "coloured" and far worse are common in a lot of these towns.

I wonder if it is issues with his brother, instead of with his wife Amelia Gentleman. She is the fine Guardian reporter who broke the story of the Windrush scandal. Always wondered how she could be married to someone in the government that persisted with this great injustice, Only speculation, but maybe the current extremism is the last straw.

I don't think teachers, paramedics and nurses are stupid, do you? They may not be well paid in this country but they do vital work and are committed to it.

Even the last Duke of Westminster, a billionaire, died in the A&E of a Preston, Lancashire NHS hospital

It would also help if there was a law passed against overseas investors hoovering up any affordable properties and turning would be buyers into permanent tenants. Currently there is little to stop this, and it is being done in Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle now, not just in London. It is outrageous that the government allows rich foreigners to deprive working people of a secure future. This should have been stopped years ago.
