I am thinking that he lobs his comments out there to get us wriled up, and moves on. He isn't reading this, and likely is doing his best to NOT learn a thing. From now on, I won't bother with him and his ranting alter egos.

Do you read any of the replies? Or are you too busy writing up your next rant from Kieth Oberman? Here is a challenge for you. Name something that the democrats in Washington did that you DON"T like - and don't be stupid and say something like "they didn't arrest Bush". Do you even know what they are doing? Or is your mouth open to much to listen?

Thanks for the education. It amazes me how few people seem to understand what you are saying. I say we should have more irradiated food. Think about the convenience and cost savings of irradiated milk. No more refrigerated trucks to ship the milk to the store, no more coolers to keep it in. Once irradiated, you don't even have to keep it cool until it is opened. If people can ever get over the fear of the word, maybe they can begin to accept the value in it.

I am considering joining the NRA just in principal, but rest assured, they could never get away with outlawing it. There are a lot like me who aren't in it, but would defend it in the next election, and I think they know that in Washington.

I feel the frustration and the anger too, but I will not kill any American for what is happening now. This is not worthy of destroying our country and killing each other. The reality for you is, that at best you can build a small group who goes out and hurts a few, and in so doing moves the country's opinion against what the rest of us are trying to do. You have already become what the other side is pointing to to discredit us all. You are much more a part of the problem at this point than the solution.

I do not believe that is what he said. He (she?) said basically, that you need to think of the consequences first, not after the killing. Running out and starting a war is an incredibly reckless thing that has turned our very poorly for many well intended groups in history. We are far from the need for violence. We need to get more engaged. We need to educate the idiots with voter registration cards on what it is that they are really doing. There will never be freedom without cost, and I believe we as a people will always pay when the bill is due, I just think your timing is a bit premature.

It isn't quite that bad, unless you are literally just in cash. If you are in the stock market - economic problems aside, the stock market goes up with inflation too. A company worth $1B now, will be worth $2B when the dollar is worth $0.50 -- assuming all else is equal - which it won't be, but you get the point. If that company sells 1Mil widgets for $100 each, then you can argue they would sell 1Mil for $200 later. If the economy collapses too, then all bets are off though. It is the people who fear everything and literally just sit in cash who really get nailed. And don't forget gold. Ignore the hype, but it is the counter-inflation equivalent of cash - always has been. Fixed income is equivalent to cash though. So if you are on a pension that is not adjusted for inflation, then you are just as you say in your post.

If you want to have an impact on anyone here - get your facts right. Congress gave Bush the authority for "the use of force" to enforce the UN actions on Iraq. Are you saying that what he did was not a "use of force" EXACTLY as intended by the congress when it passed that measure? You are inflammatory, overly excited, and inaccurate. Your posts are always going to be ineffective as long as you stay that way. Try another source for your information besides MSNBC, and people might take you seriously.

Darn, I just checked Amazon, "The Constitution for Dummies" is unavailable. Wouldn't be something to have maybe 10,000 people mail a copy to Pelosi et al? I bet that would make even the liberal evening news. I would buy one, but I haven't found it yet.... Man this idea has me grin'n. :-) Ketamein, I think that was an excellent idea, do you think it could get traction?

Just to see how negative of a response I get, I must say that I agree, but I DO support programs to help people who seem to be stuck on step zero (minimum wage) to get to step 1. That is different than supporting mandated higher wages for those on step zero, but if we can invest in people to help make them into tax payers rather than tax consumers is a net plus for the nation. Telling people that they are entitled to live like I do (very middle middle-class), no matter what they have or have not done or sacrificed, is destructive to them, and to the rest of us. Not to mention offensive to the hard work I did to get where I am. I just think that getting that first step is much harder for some than it was for me and my friends.

Uh... does anyone really think that BenGleck pays income taxes? Almost 50% of wage earners don't and the majority of the people who are too emotional on such issues to actually discuss the issue are in that 50%. Watch out though. I think he might be about to call us all a bunch of "doodie-heads". Only then will we know he has really considered an opposing view.

Should we go to the liberal leaning blogs and pick out the extremists there and say "See! They are calling for... bla bla bla" You try to discredit a huge movement in this country by pointing out the words of a few extremists. I would rather they not post those ideas here, because it brings out the comments like yours. What is the alternative you propose? Quiet acceptance? Censorship? People are upset, and as always, a few will not know what is going too far. Get over it.

An interesting note to keep in mind what I think Glen Beck said in his description of where the AIG money went. It was the Clinton administration that passed a law that in effect required high paid execs to be paid with bonuses. If the salary is above a certain level, the company cannot deduct the salary as a business expense unless it is paid as a bonus. I think that much of the excitement here in general is just around that word, "bonus", even though in many cases, it really is just part of the base pay due to this law.

I am no constitutional lawyer, but I have seen more than one who is on the news quoting the part of the constitution that SPECIFICALLY says that congress cannot override privatecontracts. Bankruptcy is the only way I know that you can get them thrown out.

Is it possible to get Barney's home address and that of his loved ones? (somebody might love Barney..?) Those addresses should be posted on every blog in the nation. How about tea parties in those neighborhoods? (I support no use of violence, just humiliation)

Right on. It is that fact, that equal results are not guaranteed, that motivates me to stay an extra 3 hours at work after everyone has gone home. Make it all equal, and that is 3 hours a day less work the country will see from me! Equal does NOT mean fair.
