Have you actually taken or been taken to the ER more than three times for non-emergency issues? They are not telling you that they will deny service or make you pay. They will cover three times a year for issues that are non-emergent. I am a parent and work in the health care field and I have brought my child to the ER before where they did not consider it to be an emergency. But I have only done it once. I dont go running to an ER everytime there is a minor issue. It seems like people are freaking out that this is going to mean they can no longer go to the ER for fear they will have to pay the charges. And this change is only for Medicade patients, if you have private or any other type of insurance nothing is changing.
