Breitbart.com : After cancer hit, women lobbied for a bald Barbie

Will they also have a bald 'Ken' doll? I realize this question will be considered "inconsiderate", "mean", and probably "sexist". However, women are only catching up to men in the number of cancers diagnosed annually. Cancer is not a 'primarily female' problem. In fact, it appears the reason an increasing number of women are being diagnosed with cancer is partly due to their engaging in activities that were previously male-dominated. (E.g. certain working conditions, use of tobacco, increased alcohol use, etc.) It amazes me that if you ask most young women the leading cause of cancer deaths in US women they usually give an immediate response of "breast cancer". While the emphasis on breast cancer has improved detection and treatment, the number one cause of cancer deaths among women is still ** lung cancer **, a far more easily preventable illness with the cessation of tobacco use. OK, that's my rant for the day. <sigh>

Loretta "McCarthy" Sanchez has in her possesion a list of names of congressional Republicans who wish to harm the economy. Of course, it would be imprudent for her to make public that list at this moment.

OMG. You mean the Palin's used legitimate business opportunities to eliminate their debt, provide for themselves and their children, save Alaskan taxpayers' money, AND did it all without federal assistance? How dare they!

Breitbart.tv : NBC News' Al Sharpton Doesn't Seem to Understand the Debt Ceiling Issue

Al Sharpton is the gift that keeps on giving. The chairman of Comcast is a well-known conservative republican who contributes heavily to GOP and Tea Party candidates. Putting Sharpton on PMSNBC is absolutely brilliant. Every time he opens his mouth with uninformed, non-cogent drivel like this, he only makes the case for those of us on the right that liberal demegogues like Sharpton have no clue whatsoever.

Big Peace : How’s that Israel-is-the-Cause-of-Mideast-Instability Myth Working Out for Ya, Obama?

Damn those Israelis for accepting peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan. </sarc> Actually, the current unrest is the fault of Sarah Palin who supports Israel. She has been inspired by George W. Bush's war against terrorism that Dick Cheney orchestrated behind the scenes to make money off of rising oil prices to fund the Jewish cabal that wants to impose fundamentalist Christianity on all Americans, forbidding them to have abortions or to legalize pot. Anyway, that's what Harry told Keith that Nancy told Barack. And Barack is sticking to that story. That's what Rachael told me in study hall.

Breitbart.tv : Obama Never Had Contact With Half Dozen Cabinet Officials in First Two Years

This is exactly the problem being pointed to when concerns have been raised about all the "czar" positions created in the WH. The constitution provides for Senate confirmation of the administrative policy makers in the executive branch. This WH has done an end-run around that by providing figurehead cabinet secretaries and running policy from within the west wing by people chosen solely by the president without the required advice and consent of the Senate and not answerable to congress.

Breitbart.tv : Ron Reagan Jr. Contradicts Alzheimer's Revelations Described in His Own Book

Remember when Charles Barkley complained about being 'misquoted' in his 'autobiography'. Although we are neighbors I have never met Ron Reagan. While I'm sure he loved his father - I remember when he was president how publicly supportive the Gipper was of some of the strange early career choices of his son - Ron Reagan seems to be working out some daddy issues with his radio show and this book. He seems to enjoy the attention he gets using his name to promote ideas so contrary to those of his father. If it were not for his name, no one would care what his political opinions are nor pay him money to espouse them. With the comments in this book he has attempted to tarnish his father's legacy and no doubt hurt his mother unnecessarily. Hopefully he will man up and apologize publicly.

That phrase - "borrowed from our children" - caught my attention too. Just a whacky thought, but could it be that some clever advertising guy managed to intentionally sneak the double meaning past the exec's at GM?

Breitbart.com : Police hunt \'Britain\'s most disgusting woman\'

This truly is a disgusting individual who needs to be off the streets and put away. Perhaps even more disturbing to me personally is that when I first saw the headline for this article I thought it might be about some new reality show or so-called 'celebrity' stunt. I'm not kidding. Maybe I've gotten a bit jaded about the ever-sinking standards of popular culture but the search for the most disgusting woman (or man) sounds like something the entertainment media would come up with.

Big Peace : Immigration Legislation Does Not Improve Enforcement

No one in congress would actually DO anything because that would mean losing an issue that drives fund-raising and votes. Passing more (meaningless and unenforced) legislation allows them to claim they did something while on the campaign trail. This is why I support term limits for congress. There is no incentive to actually accomplish anything, only to get reelected in mostly "safe seats" for the next 20-40 years while they give themselves money and power.
