DemConWatch : Neo-Cons Strike Again

I agree. I hope people realize that the same Corporatists (big oil and those who ship jobs overseas) who support Bush support McCain. Haliburton supports McCain and they will do ANYTHING to ensure a McCain win. They lie, cheat and even kill to achieve their goal This is why we need CHANGE, people.

DemConWatch : Barack Obama's speech from Denver, CO

I attempted to make this one in person and got there at 9:50. I was told that I wouldn't get into the park where Obama was speaking but could listen (not see) him on the Capitol's lawn. Since I wasn't with my crew, I decided to return home and stream it. I'm glad I made that choice. They told us that people were in line since 7AM. I should have expected that.

DemConWatch : Why We Vote Democratic

DenverDan, right now the Republican power structure is evil and "stupid" in that they underestimate the current electorate. That doesn't mean that YOU, my sister, my BIL and other Republicans are evil and stupid. Many of them are deceived, however. They want to belong to the party of Lincoln but they are having a difficult time coming to the realization that the Republican Party of Lincoln no longer exists.
DemConWatch : Polling Update - October 14th

Obama is winning and you know it. 1. Obama's averages +8.1 on RCP. Even GW Battleground Tracking has him up by +13 and the latest CBS poll is +14. 2. The so called "Bradley/Wilder Factor" has been null & void since 1995 per most "experts". Whites don't feel a need to lie about their voting anymore. Yes, McCain can defeat Obama if the Democrats don't go out and vote. Obama rightly handled someone who "Boo'd" McCain yesterday at one of his stops. He said something like this: 'I don't need the "boos", I need your vote!' That's LEADERSHIP -- something McCain lacks. He should have done the same thing when his supporters shouted out inappropriately. All over America, people are waking up to the fact that McCain/Palin is the BAD ticket for America. Obama/Biden is our ONLY choice! O/B '08

DemConWatch : Seerving on a Board

The crazy thing about this "controversy" is that the founder of the board's charity is a friend of Ronald Reagan and a McCain supporter. I guess McCain has ties to the same "domestic terrorist". This guilt by association thing is stupid. In the Bible, Jesus Christ was associated with tax collectors and harlots. So what?

DemConWatch : Who Won?

Palin rattled off her talking points while staring at the camera and irritatingly winking at the audience. Fortunately for her, Ifill didn't press her to actually answer the questions. If she had, I suspect that Palin's responses would have been like those in the Couric interview.. Palin's demonstrated a total lack of affect at the end of the debate. Biden was moving when referencing his family tragedy while making his case that he understood the struggles of American families. Instead of acknowledging that moment, she continued smiling in the camera and delivered her "maverick" talking points. She showed the public that the real Sarah Palin is cold and utterly unfeeling. She would do little to resolve the plight of those effected by the highest unemployment in decades. Additionally, her response on the role of the VP was alarming. She now claims her earlier comment about not knowing what the "VP does every day" was a joke. She then went on to support the unbridled powers exerted by Cheney. . Biden eloquently schooled her on that topic.

DemConWatch : Geography

I agree with you on this one. However, McCain is an idiot when it comes to many things. He clearly flubbed up with the Spanish journalist and the Repig's explanation was equally bad. Do you really expect more from someone who graduated at the bottom of his class? His father and his new rich wife are the only reasons he was elected to office even after his POW experience.

DemConWatch : Them and Us

I agree, Karen. As irritated as I was with the "I agree" comments, it demonstrated Obama's ability to negotiate and find common ground. That attribute is critical for the success of a commander in chief. McCain's dismissive attitude was by design -- he wanted to show the world that Obama was not on his level. However, he also showed us how he would behave with our allies and adversaries! We must change the world's view of us so we can obtain the must needed support to fight where we should have 6 years ago -- Afghanistan!

DemConWatch : McCain Trips on Spain

Orlando - sometimes I wish non-citizens were able to vote also. We've elected an idiot -- twice. I agree with Karen Anne on this one. McCain just heard that the journalist was "Spanish". Quite a number of American idiots mix up Latin-groups so McCain just did what came naturally to him. After all, he didn't know the difference between Sunnis and Shiites. I don't expect him to know the difference between Mexicans and Brazilians. He probably thinks Brazilians speak Spanish. The man is an idiot.

DemConWatch : What do you REALLY want to know about Sarah Palin?

I totally understand 5 colleges in 10 or more years. People move for work and take classes at local institutions. But 5 colleges in 6 years? That is almost a different college each year so her grades had to be poor.

LOL! I believed the Palin story until they "dispelled the rumor" by using their 17 year old child for political purposes. That was unnecessary since a genetic test would have worked. She's proven to have lied about so many things -- Troopergate, "Bridge to Nowhere", etc. McLiar and Palin are a match made in he##.
