The police were following due process.

Their preliminary investigations established there was no case to answer.

Job done.

Why is this news?

Our legal system was in the front line of Osborne's cuts.

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

No one suggested it happened here. It's for the police to decide, based on the evidence.

It looks like the police are taking no further action:

Yes, they uphold the law where serious offences have been committed. Property can be replaced, people cannot.

The pensioner in question faces no further action.

Why would he mention them?

No.

The suspect has been bailed pending further police inquiry.

Police resources are no longer adequate to cover the protection of property.

No, they don't have the "spare numbers for hate crimes".

The police must uphold the law.

If anyone wanted to commit murder they could simply bring their target into their home kill them and claim "self defence".

Why do you think we have a "lack of investigations"?

Why do you think "sentencing is weak"?

I can answer that for you: lack of resources.

Kids and young people know they can act with impunity against property. They know there aren't enough police to protect the safety of the public, let alone their possessions.

Red Ken doesn't hate anyone for their religion or ethnicity.

It's rather absurd to suggest he does.

We all know Ken regards the State of Israel as an exercise in latter day colonialism. We need to recognise his position and refute it on its own terms. There's no point hiding behind trumped up charges of "anti-Semitism"; it won't prevent him, nor his ilk, from persisting in their misguided opinions.
