Guys, Fox News REPORTS the news, if you want someone to file a sawsuite against these activities then contribute to the organizations that due that type of stuff, and let them know what you want them to do with it.
Can someone explain to my why the Fair Tax is fair, since it moves the burden of taxes onto the middle class, and lets the rich off relatively scott free??
If you really want to get rid of the income tax go with something like Hawaii's Gross Excise (Gross Income) excise tax. You would be able to make the tak a lot lower and it would cover proportionally more of the services that the rich and foreigners sonsume, which are completely ignored by the Fair Tax, not to mension the Fair Tax has no Use Tax provisions from what i remember, so the rich can go elsewere and purchase their boats and airplains and them bring them back to the U.S.,
The people who will be hit hardest by the fair tax are retirees (whose income has already been taxed fully) and the middle class, who will bear most of the burden of the tax.
There are better way to get rid of the Income tax than a national sales tax as invisioned under the fair tax system.
But is shifts the tax burden to the middle class and retirees, and is a gift to the wealthy.
The main problem with a FairTax, is that it shifts the tax burden onto the middle class and retirees from the wealthy as it is under the current system, I posted something similar to the FairTax here, under the Heading of General Excise (Gross Income Tax), that would raise in excess of 10% GDP in taxes (i.e $1.4+Trillion), if we retain something similar to FICA for Social Security (and fix the structureal problems with SS which is easy to do without adversely impacting current retirees) and impose a Payroll/Self Employment tax for mandatory health savings accounts/castastrophic and diagnostic health care plans we have univers coverage and have gotten the government out of the business of destroying citizens and busnesses.
at this point it would be next to impossible and far to costly to repeal or phase out Social Security, but it can be restructured in such a way as to prevent it from holding our future and that of our children hostage. It is one of the items i am working on but i do have a life so it will probably be a week or so before i can post something on it.

A improved social security system and payroll tax with an additional health savings account/catastrophic and diagnostic health care plan tax would take care of Universal health care and keep the government out of our healthcare and could be structured in such a way and also be used to eliminate welfare as we know it.
I agree, limiting the President and both houses to 12 years and a mandatory 2 year sabatical to the private sector, with no lobbying or working for any company receivign federal money would probably work best.
Why worry about minimizing the adverse impact on Fed employees, there are almost 2 million of them and growing, while upwards of 5 million regular hard working americans are out of work. They should only get the smae deal anyone else gets when laid off. and we should have a federal civil service employment cap of 1/200 of the legal U.S. population, with a highering freeze and madatory proportional layoffs among the departments until the cap is reached. It would help solve the budget problem, especially if we limited the budget to a percentage of GDP.
Create a 501 (c)(4) Political Action Committe and Fusion Political Party to take advantage of all of the Loopholes that ACORN and Moveon.org are using, and take bach our country by forcing the politicians to deal with us and our platform without deluting our political power by try to create ANOTHER 3rd party, and instead back only members of ANY party that will support our platform and will sign onto a CONTRACT FOR AMERICA"S FUTURE, and hold their feet to the fire, by posting every vote they make counter the platform and contract for every supporter of the PAC and Fusion party to see and act upon by denying any candidate who betrayed their promise any support or funding and do so publicly and loadly.
There is a way to do, and i will post something on it over the next couple of days. We do need to solve the universal health care question if for no other reason that socialists will constinue to use it to push their agenda and the have managed to convence a large segment of the public that free health care is a possiblity. But a universal pay, health savings account with catastophic and diagnostic coverage IS doable, if done right and limited only to U.S. citizens and lawfully residing foreign nationals.
