I think a good next step would be what FreedomWorks is doing with the march on Washington D.C. Here is the link : http://912dc.org/
Other than that, we may have to start a petition and go door to door till we see changes being made.

Tips on educating others:
Tell people about the 9/12 project
Pass out pocket constitutions from the Heritage Foundation (they are $25 for 50)
Lecture on the founding fathers and formation of our Nation (http://adlar.com/nccs/)

UNITE OR DIE

I would like for us to march on Washington D.C. on 9/11 -9/12, 2009.
I think that we can use the tea parties as well as other means to get the information out there. If it is at all possible we should have a few leaders from each state or area who will coordinate with other leaders/organizers on getting this done. People want to do something and a march with signs and banners and hundreds of thousands of people, maybe even a million...that would get some attention....I'd like to see the main stream media cover that up!

PLEASE BE DILIGENT AT YOUR TEA PARTY!
And I would like to clarify. I am not trying to be divisive. I just want all of us to be diligent in making sure that the TEA Parties don't become platforms for conservative Christian moral issues or anything else that takes away from the non-partisan, organic grassroots movement from people who are upset about taxation, spending, and lack of representation.

I am also hoping that it is still truly grassroots with maybe just the aid of some larger organizations. I was just a little disturbed last night at my meeting when we were discussing the time to have the Tea Party on the 4th of July and even though all of us organizers were in agreement for it to be 10am, the head organizer told us he would have to check with Don Wildmon to make sure, since Don had been thinking 2pm was a good time.

AMEN!!! I couldn't have summed it up better myself. And just so you know, this desire to protect the Constitution has been on my heart for years. It is what I swore to do when I joined the military. It is up to us to study and protect the constitution and really that is where I want to be.

The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created."

So with that said, I guess as individuals we will just have to be diligent that we are not being pulled away from the main cause (the commitment to country and belief that We surround them)...And just hope and pray that organizations don't steal our work and promote things that may be unconstitutional.

Well I know that the TEA Parties WERE a completely Organic Grassroots movement inspired by the words of Rick Santelli. I know that when my husband and I got involved we were under the impression that this was going to be about being "Taxed Enough Already". The main ideas were about "Taxation without Representation" and the bailouts and stimulus and Out of Control Spending....Right? We are just concerned that when other organizations get involved with different motives that it will possibly pull people into something they had no intention of getting involved in.
And as far as the 912 project, I believe Glenn Beck and his people are the head of it, and they have a mission statement as well as the 12 values and 9 principles.
Lets keep this in mind (taken from the mission statement page)
