Unfortunately, no. The King James Bible has been at the top echelon of Bible transliterations for 400 years. "The Message" seems to mistranslate, omit, and massage the meaning and words of Scripture. Although, like any honest undertaking of translating Scripture, Peterson probably worked diligently at "The Message", it does not convey the Word of God properly like the Hebrew Masoretic, Greek Septuagint (plus NT), and the King James Bible.
