Any library system can easily protect the readers/viewers rights, and still protect the other patrons from "Objectional Content." And we are not just speaking of pornography here.
For example, a person studying anatomy, or legitimate medical procedures, could innocently offend a third party. Graphic photos of surgical procedures for example.
Good quality screen filters are the best option. Moving the computers to an out of the way corner/location will foster another level of behaivor which could be even more objectional.

Sorry for the loss of the child.
I have traveled to the Ice Caves many times over the last 40 years. The area is very well posted with warning signs telling people to, "STAY OUT OF THE CAVES", and "STAY OFF OF THE ICE."

Let's use some proper parenting skills here. Keep your child with you. I am willing to bet that the parents let their daughter wander. If she wandered into the caves = PARENTS FAULT!

If the parents can not read or comprehend English, THEIR fault. If you live here in the United States, as these parents do, you NEED TO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH! If not, then suffer the consequences.

I am a retired law enforcement officer. 30 years of responding to motor vehicle collisions where people died. Yes it gets to you. I can no longer have any sympathy for offenders who behave and drive like this young person did. The level of stupidity, irresponsibility is way out of control. I guess parents and schools no longer teach or re-inforce the concept that actions have consequences.

My condolences to the family.

However, this does not excuse the irresponsible and selfish behaivor which this young man engaged in.

Is he a murderer? Hell YES! He and he alone killed an innocent person with his vehicle. There would be no difference if he used a gun. His intentional act killed another human being who was just out minding their own business.
