<title>http://www.votenader.org/ : In the Public Interest: Restoring the Constitution -- Ralph Nader for President in 2008</title>
<link>http://www.votenader.org/blog/2008/11/13/in-public-interest-restoring-the-constitution/#IDComment11466563</link>
<description>Dear Ralph Nader, Synopsis: Please let us know whether the auto &amp;quot;bailout&amp;quot; is a good idea or not. I believe it is not, but I am not sure. (Long version follows). I was on vacation when the bank &amp;quot;bailout&amp;quot; occurred. So when I came back, I scrambled to find out what it was all about. I scrambled to find out as much as I could about it and to read between the lines of the tainted mainstream media reports to try and make sense of it. I concluded that it was not a good thing for the average American. But I was not sure. So it was to YOU that I turned. Now, I don&amp;#039;t agree with you on everything. For example, I was surprised to hear you give so much support to Edwards&amp;#039; rhetoric, instead of Kucinich&amp;#039;s actions (I mean Kucinich&amp;#039;s voting record on the issues), in the 2008 Primaries. Nevertheless, it was to YOU I turned as the shining beacon of all that is good and truthful and beautiful. And you spoke against the bailout. And then I knew my suspicions were correct. (I scoured Youtube to find out your opinion). Now I need your help to discern the auto industry bailout. My instincts tell me it is not a good thing (at least not without hearings and written guarantees). I have watched the hearings on C-span daily, trying to understand it. The big three cry, joined along with Gettelfinger (the UAW president), that we need the direct and indirect jobs that they create. What&amp;#039;s worse is that they want the 25 billion to &amp;quot;tie them over&amp;quot; until the new prez takes over and then they will ask for more. I have also seen reports that they will just move to China, where they already have operations (bailout or not). Incidentally, I was disgusted to hear that they have profitable operations in China, Russia and other countries, (making smaller cars, etc). I scoured youtube, your &amp;quot;myspace&amp;quot; site, and this site in vain trying to find some direction. I also scoured Kucinich&amp;#039;s site. Nothing. No direction. Please, let us know your thoughts on the above matter. I really need your opinion. With much love, respect and admiration, Bay. </description>
