Above comment is another example of how far our world culture has moved from a spiritual / human love to the momentary love of a tech gadget, soon to be replaced by the next version. Sure, it's a joke, but the truth is not far from it... All the wining and bashing of the Beatles, who continue to be artistic giants in the world of music and culture, and continue to be re-discovered by each generation, is indicative of our current pathetic consumerist world society. If you know so much about Steve's behavior and don't like it, then leave Apple products, go elsewhere. Better yet, you create something new....

Thoughtful advice, I hope it is heeded by the visitors and the residents of this blog. I think this mania is ever-multiplying between each new JB/UL cycle with the increase of many more iphone owners now seeking the tools from the dev-team. Owning and maintaining a JB/UL iphone necessitates intelligence, diligence and patience. These traits are often ignored with the "I want it now" consumerism fever in these times. But the dev-team and their blog requires us to utilize our intelligence, diligence and patience to enjoy their gifts to us all.

My Cydia SHSH is iOS 4.0, 4.01, 4.0.2 I have an old AT&T card that was left in the iphone box from a pre-owned iphone 3G that I had purchased before my current 3GS. But I don't have the owners info, would that AT&T sim hactivate my 3GS as an original sim? I appreciate if you can point me to the proper tutorial. Thanks for your response and time.

Now, re-read the Dev-team's "Winning moves" above and then go to your dictionary and look up the meaning of the word "Strategy". If you are still clueless, go back about 18 months in this blog and read through the development of the Dev-team's updates in unlocks and jailbreak's in relation to Apple's releases of it's iphone FW updates. There is a pattern and strategy the Dev-team uses in the cat & mouse game with Apple that you will discover which has kept the Dev-team as our number one provider for unlocked and jailbroken iphones via custom firmwares. Timing is everything!

Thanks for all your help! I have my T-Mobile sim card, but I do have a non-active AT&T sim that someone gave me with a previous second-hand iphone 3g I had purchased. Would this non-active AT&T sim card work with my current 3GS (which I also purchased used) to do the upgrade?

iPhone 3G - Unlocked - FW - 3.0 Cydia has an update for ultrasn0w 0.93, will that change anything in the FW I'm not interested in running ios4 on my 3G Thanks for the help.

I agree and I also feel safer with the Dev-Team. They are not grandiose and always put together a safe and solid package and stand by it and update when bugs arise. Of course, if you are past 4.26.08, then the Blackweathers are your only hope right now.
