"Most of all we need the first Conservative budget for growth in decades"

Yes, let's add to the national debt which we can pass on to future generations to pay back so it won't be our problem. What a splendid idea.

Absolutely. The whole "Evil Mrs Thatcher" thing has been rather done-to-death and as soon as a left-winger tries that one I start lose interest in chatting with them further. Sometimes I persevere though if I think the person is worth saving.

Can't blame Gordon Brown for current conditions forever. The voters want to see the Conservatives move past the blame game and onto showing some results in terms of raising living standards for the working-age population. If they don't, the votes will go elsewhere.

Not everyone took a pay cut: pensioners have done very handsomely out of the triple-lock in the past decade.

Problem is Lord Ashcroft, for so many people the current Conservatives are doing the exact opposite.

Using this observation from the IFS publication a couple of weeks ago:
"The growth in real earnings of employees has differed for different groups over the last 10 years. For those in the 20s or 30s, median earnings in 2017 were 5% and 7% lower than in 2008 respectively, while for those aged 60 and over, they were only 1% lower than in 2008"

Life is getting a bit better if you are a pensioner, considerably worse as you get younger.

He's such a believer that he promised to lie-down in front of the bulldozers.

Instead he went on a 24 hour trip to Afghanistan to avoid the Heathrow vote. A trip which ending up costing tax-payers many hundreds of thousands of pounds.

"Yellow-belly" comes to mind.

Maybe the team can do the detail while Boris does their wives and daughters?

A "real leader" should be good at building bridges.

Lets take a look at BoZo's record on bridges:
1) He spent £56 million pounds of tax payers money on his Garden Bridge project and not a single brick or cable was laid. That could have paid for an additional 1000 police officers in London for a year.

2) He wants to build a £120 billion bridge to our biggest trade partner that he also keeps telling to get stuffed. That the same as the entire annual NHS budget in England. How's that for a contradictory waste of tax payers money?

The man can spin a good word but he is clueless.

But not only is he clueless, he treats his toilet paper better than he treats his marriage vows. Call me old-fashioned, but a "real leader" treats their spouse in accordance with the vows they made on their wedding day because it is the right thing to do.

Come to think of it BoZo does remind me of the Vicky Pollard character from Little Britain.

"Yeah but, no but, I'd didn't do anything or nuffink"

Or that there is a lot to attack.
