If you are trying to kick a ball in the forward direction, your pushing your leg in that direction with a certain momentum, in order to reverse that momentum in the fashion that happened to alves, there has to be a stronger force pushing in the other direction, in this case that force was pepe's cleats on his shit, just look how far his leg spins backwards.......that simply can not be done alone. I have been a black belt in taekwondo for some time now and in order to reverse the momentum of your leg from one direction to another is extremely difficult, let alone in a way that is happening to alves, just look at his body reaction. Add on to that the fact that video editing software is readily available and very easy to use, and you get this. As another user pointed out in another thread, there is a frame missing in that video (that being the one where pepe made contact).
