Big Hollywood : Time to Call Out James Cameron

I haven't seen the movie, but I was thinking "WTF?" when my kids came home with their grandparents hauling Happy Meals with Avatar crap all over the box and tie-in toys to boot. Hey McDonald's, what are you thinking pushing this PG-13 rated movie on the little kids that eat your food? Are you not getting enough bad press these days? My 7 year old daughter pointed to one of the toys shown on the box and said "doesn't that look weird?", pointing to the figure's lower torso. I said, "Yeah, it looks like he's got a load in his drawers". She said, "No, it looks like he has a giant penis". I told her I was pretty sure that wasn't what they were trying to depict, especially something that's being marketed to kids. I told her "Sometimes smart people make bad decisions". She agreed and went about playing in her room. I'm sure I'll hear those exact words from her at some point in the next 10 years.

Big Hollywood : UPDATE: What the NEA Says Vs. Documented Facts

The font used in the "Yes We Demand Health Care" artwork appears to have been created with a font based on the KISS logo. I found a font that's identical, though not very well made, at this link <a href="http://www.typenow.net/themed.htm#mbf." target="_blank">http://www.typenow.net/themed.htm#mbf. KISS apparently took some flack early on for the S's used in the logo, but since both Gene Simmons is Jewish and his mother a Holocaust survivor, it soon died out. Having known many graphic artists in my life, my guess is that this was unintentional. The artist responsible is a moron for not seeing the connection to the SS logo or they're a moron for making the connection.
