I am no theologian or apologist but I am, as well, a convert to Catholicism. In the Catholic Church it is more of a works through faith thing. As Catholics we are always in the process of conversion, works are important to strengthen our faith and to continue on our journey that began with our Baptism. What is important about our works are the fruits that they bare, not the works themselves. There are passages in the bible that support what I am saying so pathetically.
