quick question, just out of curiosity do you support Hamburg or St. Pauli?

What another Hammer fan in Charm City!!!!
I am used to only seeing Gooners Chelski or ManU heads around. I hope the "local pub" was Slainte's.
I have only been a fan for 3 years longer (2006) and this team gets in your blood and stays! The way I see it, it's easy to pick and cheer for a winning team, but infectious to get behind a team that fights hard week after week to get anywhere................. maybe that just comes from being an O's fan.

Hope to see you around!

Ian I did not receive you book, but my 7 year old made me a Hammers Christmas ornament.

I agree TJ, and am glad to see Grant go. My hope is that GS realize that since the same thing is happening here as in Birmingham, they will wake the hell up and change the way they are doing things.

SJ, as a 'newer' WHU fan I enjoyed this post. Simiply because I can read all there is on the web about the history of the Hammers. I can (and have) bought a few books to get a better sense of the this team and the fans. But post like this one give me a sense of what goes on in the hearts&heads of the local fans as they walked away from Upton Park, after a bad result. I am interested in watching (and reading on this site) what it takes to get promoted. I have hope that Golivan and company do learn from the past and make the right decision, not jus tthe easy ones.
At times a person, company .......... or team needs to be knocked down a few times to realize it is worth the extra effort to make the right decisions and fight to STAY up, rather then just getting used to getting BACK up.

All this talk about how bad our defense is....... but in the last 2 league games we have only allowed a point (and that was more us than Liverton).........and if we add in the cup match were are +9,
Now I am not saying we have a world class back four, it is just nice to see that while we are finding the back on the net, we are also keeping it out of ours.
Since most of us would have only 'hoped' for 1 point in the pass to games, 6 is pretty freak'n great!

COYI!!

Thanks for the link Pinner! Sadly I could watch the game........ and I am really getting tired of the lack of coverage of anything International from ESPN ("worldwide leader in sports" my white-hairy-......)

Anyway Hitz looks brilliant!! Now if they can play this well against Liverton

I am looking forward to the next few games. I believe we can stay up if 2 things happen, 1) AG shuts his and allows Parker to coach the team. & 2) the fans stand "encouraging loud" in support no matter how bad it looks.

btw - SJ what happened to the remaining 2/3 of you post? I am not used to reading your entire post without my coffee getting cold before I am done. Just wondering if you accidentally hit 'post' before you were down.
