Sorry to hear about your holiday woes. We're pretty much the outcasts in the family. Not in that no one likes to be around us, just that we insist on doing our own thing. We're having a quiet Thanksgiving with just us and our best friend. Pressure was put on us to travel this Xmas to go visit sister-in-law and her hubs family. Nope. Not doing it. Xmas will be here. Will have my in-laws over as they'll be doing the Thanksgiving thing with sister-in-law. Fine by us. Should be fairly quiet and without the huge fiasco that occurred last year with the entire family gathering in one place (including sis-in-law and her hub's family) - which by the way, we didn't want to attend anyway. Not to not see them, but because we didn't want to partake in some huge Hallmark glorified holiday with hours upon hours of gift opening. What kind of message is that for the kids? Not for us.
