OMG, is the news slow today!!!! I know of individuals who would spend this on mints by themselves. But I suppose it'll cover the smell of bulls*** being spouted on the hill.

Sandy501, If our 3 children were to be looked after fulltime at a child-minder it would cost £24K/year. I don't think the childcare figures are far from the truth.

bearlagodeo, in our case we are not entitled to one penny from the government other than Child benefit. Both parents work, no choice as we can't afford not to work. Our childcare exceeds a salary, if the children were to be looked after fulltime. Luckily my mother and father look after the children one day a week, otherwise it would be financially unviable.

I don't think we'll be at all surprised at why Poots is launching this. No doubt trying to apply his religious ideals on the Fostering Regulations and costing the taxpayer more money.

OK, we'll stick to facts again, you don't agree with me. I do use my vote, as I do believe in democracy, and furthermore, if I don't agree with something the majority has voted in favour of, I won't throw the toys out of the pram.

So Northern Ireland is being held to ransom by Unionist Politicians, who are in turn being held to ransom by Bryson, Frazer and co. The Lunatics are running the Asylum. It's hard to believe that there is a minority here who are, realistically, shafting the country they claim to love.

You forget to mention that HIV sufferers being treated are: 67% men 33% women 48% are heterosexual contact 43% are sex between men (Heterosexual HIV more prominent) 53% are between the ages of 35-49 (Suggest we don't take any blood from this age group) 92% are in England 1% Northern Ireland. So when we need a blood transfusion, how are you going to know where the blood is from (it is tested for HIV btw) Edwin Poots' campaign is ridiculous by all stretches of the imagination, just a waste of public money. Personally speaking if I were to need a blood transfusion to save my life, I wouldn't care where or who it is from, did I mention that blood is tested, I'd be thankful that someone has taken the time and effort to donate their blood.

I would put the onus back on the ratepayer. Why are the recycling bins unused?? We have the "brown" bin and "blue" bin and cannot complain with the bin collection service. Neighbours of ours have 3!!! black bins which are overflowing every forthnight including Pizza Boxes, and cardboard packaging for food, yet their Blue Bin lies idle 12 months a year. Why should I as a ratepayer pay the same rates as this individual when they don't bother their arse to improve our environment. Rant over.
