Actually, yeah. The Emperor's New Groove has kind of influenced how I draw llamas; I just love how they designed 'em ^_^

Don't worry about it, Zork. While I AM only changing directions for multiple business and financial reasons rather than quit "because of some boy" (I'm guessing he hasn't read my blog posts on the subject), I'd rather not have such negativity follow me to the new site. :) I'd much rather just focus on creating something new and awesome for people who appreciate it.

A lot of these questions are answered over at my new site lizzie-bean.com but to repeat, yes retro games are fine. THey say "videogames" on the site, but I've seen people play charades, board games, card games, etc. So really as long as you're playing SOMETHING for the full 24 hours, you're fine. Also, they do say that the 8am-8am is a suggestion, you CAN start later if you need to. As for joining the team, if you sign up at extra-life.org, when you're filling out your information there will be an option for you to select your team. Just pick "BPD Army" when you get to it. :)

Broken Plot Device : A Brief Update

I believe everyone deserves a second chance, so long as they earn it. I know how much of a pain in the ass I can be sometimes, so it'd feel hypocritical of me to not at least give him a shot if he really wants it bad enough.

And why on earth would I take YOUR side? I don't know what happened. All I DO know is that you're being an uber-agressive dick about it. The way your sounding here, it sounds like they might've had a damn good reason to ban you. So yeah. Zero interest in telling anyone to "fuck off" on behalf of random commenter I don't know.

Broken Plot Device : American Dining

Oh, believe me, I know all about "Americanized" ethnic food. My mother's idea of "going out for Mexican" is getting a Fajita at TGI Fridays. ;) I love her to death, but she is SO conservative when it comes to food. But yeah, I am American (though sometimes I wish I were Canadian), and these kinds of restaurants have sort of become the "American restaurant". Heck, you go over to London, and TGI Fridays IS labeled as "TGI Fridays : The American Restaurant." Not even kidding. I'm sure SOMEONE can back me up on this! ....right?

Broken Plot Device : Sketch Thursday : Roller Girls!

that's one of the cases where having thumbnails and planning sketches is SO important! There's nothing wrong with taking a long time to draw something, but nothing is more frustrating than spending 8+ hours on a drawing only to look at it later and be unhappy with the anatomy, composition, design, layout, etc. When planning comics, I sometimes draw uber-simplified short-hand for each character, with just enough detail to tell who it is, but simple enough I can scribble dozens of these figures in a few minutes. For example, Max's head would be a circle with a slash across to show her hairline, and two triangles for her ears. It's all about "economy of line", using the least amount of marks as possible to still have something be recognizable, and I only make those figures more complicated if having a certain expression is critical to the story or joke.

Broken Plot Device : At least I'm not Crazy...?

It's mostly just to signify that something seems off whenever he speaks .He has no mouth and thus physically can't speak, but the sound of speech still comes from him. It doesn't sound natural, though if you heard it you might not be able to necessarily place WHY it sounds weird. It just does.
