Lose more customers. BUT now they are in the backseat. There is not many wp7 users so its only logical to make money thru the sales of apple ios devices. Making a good product for ios would not be the same as pc vs mac as its a battle they are trying compete in not one they are dominating. Selling a few very expensive apps for mac and having a few customers is not the same as making the same ammount of money but having more than 25 times the number of customers. I think there is a lot of benefits for having a great office application on iphone/ipad. More so than making a great app for the Mac.
