I never said they did where did you get that? all i said was samsung was claiming this (requesting to see apple's source code before the release of the iphone 4s) baseless request that lead to nothing. But like i said whether apple or samsung is right or wrong they have to right to complain, this is a legal act as you know. The outcome is a different story.

Guys calm yourself. Samsung is also trying to get apple products baned even tho they are not succeeding,
This is Apple's right (Samsung's too) one believes there products are being copied and winning most of their court cases, the other is trying to the same but as they have a weaker case they are not winning much. Why are you people arguing over stupid crap. THEY BOTH HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE A CASE.

Samsung is getting press and advertisment all over the world by using Apple's name.
That is the only reason. Free advertisment on news channels TV , iphone sites , android sites.

I really think that a lot of poeple will be returning their kindle fire very shortly after testing the browser (LAG).
the price will reel in customers but it will also stop people from buying any future kindle tablets once they test the kindle fire. People say you cannot compare the ipad 2 and the kindle fire but trust me a lot of their customers will be doing exactly that.

Ok let me try to explain. 10 years ago pc sales where miles ahead and doing well against mac, microsoft wanted mac users to swap over to the pc as they were leading and advertising the lead as proof of quality over their rivals ( the way apple rightly does now) If they made the office software as good as it was on the pc then what would be the point? Lose more customers. BUT now they are in the backseat. There is not many wp7 users so its only logical to make money thru the sales of apple ios devices. Making a good product for ios would not be the same as pc vs mac as its a battle they are trying compete in not one they are dominating. Selling a few very expensive apps for mac and having a few customers is not the same as making the same ammount of money but having more than 25 times the number of customers.
I think there is a lot of benefits for having a great office application on iphone/ipad. More so than making a great app for the Mac.

I am a happy ios user but i think that windows phone operating system looks pretty good on the nokia handsets. Its nice looking and in my opinion better than android.

I think if they get it right this can be a great app. The possible features of office for ios is unlimited and the intergration between this and the Mac/Pc version can work very well.
