As much as the episode wasn't solid from start to finish, there was still a lot of positives to be taken from it. The clues of the mother are starting to accumulate, and it almost feels as if we know her, without meeting her (which of course we have NOT yet). As much as Robin's actions seemed foreign to us this episode, it isn't the first time we have seen her act this way (a la "Ted Mosby, Architect), so even though many people weren't feeling it, I thought it was realistic. P.S. someone posted an article in the forum section of the site in regards to the 100th episode. It is a must read!!! It was a great episode to start off a season that surely will have a atmosphere that we aren't used to. The humour was so well written and Barney and Robin's relationship is totally believable. Jason Segel is hilarious. Reading over all of the previous posts, it is obvious just how funny this episode was, as many readers have posted "...I can't believe you didn't mention this!" in response to JD's post. Obviously she is wearing yellow, which raises flags to die hard HIMYM fans, but she is also wearing a butterfly necklace. As in Ted's Tattoo which eventually lead him to Stella. The details in this show are so awesome. The Sven reference and Murder Train reference were awesome, much like this entire episode. In closing, this episode really spoke to why I love this show. It's the life lessons we learn every Monday. Each once is so articulent, and well crafted to life. We all sit on the edge of our seats, waiting for Future Ted share his knowledge with us. We all know nothing good happens after 2 am. We all know that we shouldn't invite your ex to your wedding, and as of Monday night we all know that no matter where you are in your life, life will get better when you take a risk and bet on yourself. Life has meaning when you take the leap. Once again I was surprised by the initial reaction, but like every HIMYM episode, it gets better every time you watch it. There were so many great call backs. Some unmentioned ones thus far, was when Barney said "This is Kinda Nice" when he was sitting with Ted in thier "hot tub". Barney also said this in Season 3 Episode 1, when they were sitting in the hot tub, before Ted got the Tattoo. I also recently watched the Pilot, and noticed the Conversation regarding the "Leap". It had a season 1 like emotion to it, which is why I fell in love with this show. I was out of town until tonight and was unable to watch it until half an hour ago, and I thought it was a terriffic episode. It seems to me that in lieu of Lily Marshall has developed a very strong relationship with Barney, which is awesome because Jason Segel and NPH work really well together.
